I genuinely don’t even know where to start. 🥹
When I found out that Ladybug Pest & Wildlife Control had been nominated for Best Woman-Owned Business in Boone County, that alone felt like more than enough. To be mentioned in the same category as so many incredible, hardworking women, women I look up to, was already an honor I didn’t take lightly.
So when I got the news that we had won… I had to do a double take. 😭 We also took home Best Pest Control, but Best Woman-Owned Business is one that truly means the world to me.
Pest control is not an industry that looks like me very often. It’s male-dominated, it’s tough, and there were plenty of moments along the way where I wondered if I belonged in it. This award is proof that you do belong, even when the room wasn’t built for you.
But I need to be really clear: I did not win this alone.
To my incredible team, you show up every single day and make Ladybug what it is. This is yours just as much as it’s mine. And to the Boone County community, your support, your trust, and your loyalty mean everything to us. We don’t exist without you.
