1st Annual Uprising in the Wild Retreat 🌿

Most of our followers know us as your local pest and wildlife control company, but did you know there are women running companies just like ours all across the country?

Last week, Jaclyn hosted this incredible retreat, bringing together a group of women business owners from across the pest and wildlife industry. They spent a few days talking business, sharing challenges, celebrating wins, and learning from each other.

The growth that happened in such a short time was incredible, and we are so grateful for every woman who made the trip. We cannot wait to keep this tradition going.

Not all dryer vents are created equal. 🐦

🏠 The covers we install are flush metal, so nothing is sticking out for wildlife to grab onto. They seal shut when the dryer isn't running and lie completely flat against the home. Nothing to pry. Nothing to rip off. Nothing to squeeze through.

It's a small detail that makes a big difference. 🦝

May’s Featured LadyBug is Leo, one of our Pest Control Technicians! 🐞

Leo has been with The LadyBug Pest & Wildlife Control for just over a year. Talking to customers is his favorite part of the job, and it shows.

🦝 He’s also pulled a raccoon out of a window well, so the job description is pretty flexible.

Outside of work you’ll find Leo on his skateboard, filming for his YouTube channel, or having ice cream on Bub's Burgers & Ice Cream’s patio!🍦 Oh, and he’s from Britain. Yes, he really does have an accent. 😄

If he had to be a bug for a day, he’d be a fly. His reasoning? “I’m nosey.” Honestly, fair enough. 🪰

This is what's behind your wall when you hear chirping. 🐦

A woodpecker had drilled into this homeowner's wooden siding and mama bird moved right in. Nest, eggs, babies and all. 🪺

Jadin safely removed the babies and got them to a wildlife rehabber, sanitized the cavity, and installed a metal patch. The homeowner is repainting soon, so it'll blend right in. 🎨

The LadyBug team is celebrating 7 new licenses! 👏 Our wildlife technicians, Addison, Preston, and David, knocked out both their Core Pest Control and Indiana DNR licenses, and Cameron, one of our customer service representatives, earned his Core Pest Control license too!

Watching this team put in the work and come out the other side with something to show for it is one of our favorite things. Congratulations to all four! 🐞🎉

If your dryer vent looks like this, it's already a wildlife entrance.

Wire mesh guards trap dryer lint, which is a fire hazard, and wildlife can rip them right off the vent. The replacement we install is a magnetic dryer vent cover. It seals shut when the dryer is off and only opens when air is flowing out, so lint doesn't build up around the screen, and animals can't push their way in. Simple swap, big difference.
