An outdoor play area for this school got a complete makeover. We fixed the grade that was allowing water to get into the crawl space. Removed approximately 20 tons of rocks, fabric, and timbers. Regraded everything then the playground company installed the new equipment. After that was done, we installed 30 yards of soft step playground mulch from Greencycle. Topped off with a finish grade, seed, and straw blanket. Just in time for a few days of rain to get the seed germinating quickly.

Prepping the ground for seed is essential. Just throwing seed on top of hard dirt won’t get you the results you want. The Harley rake makes a great seed bed plus it helps smooth out any high and low spots.
