Conners Landscaping installed this hardscaping job, which consisted of a patio, firepit, steps, retaining wall, and bar, approximately eight years ago. Randy from Showers Pressure Washing cleaned the patio last week. We were contracted to replenish the sand and apply a sealant, but upon arrival, it became apparent that the retaining wall required cleaning prior to the scheduled work. The white, powdery buildup visible on your retaining wall is a clear indication of efflorescence, a phenomenon where salt and mineral deposits are brought to the surface by moisture. To restore the wall to its original condition, we will thoroughly saturate the area, utilize a stiff wire brush and diluted acid solution to scrub away the deposits, and then rinse the wall completely.
