We share research-based gardening knowledge to support healthy people, communities, and the planet. The Le Sueur County Master Gardeners are volunteers with the University of Minnesota Extension, rooted in the mission to share research-based horticultural knowledge and sustainable gardening practices. We educate and engage our community through hands-on projects, workshops, and outreach, all aimed
at cultivating healthy people, thriving communities, and a resilient planet. Our work is guided by core principles: science-based learning, environmental stewardship, and inclusive education. We collaborate across social and organizational boundaries to create accessible gardening opportunities that support local ecosystems and empower lifelong learners. Through volunteerism, innovation, and connection, we grow more than plants—we grow community.
