⚡ LABOR DAY EMERGENCY CALL ⚡
Electrical problems don’t exactly check the holiday calendar. 😅
We responded to a Labor Day emergency call and found a serious overheating failure inside this older Challenger electrical panel.
The breaker and connection had experienced significant heat damage, creating a potential electrical and fire hazard if left unnoticed.
Challenger equipment has a history of breaker failures, poor connections, and overheating concerns. If your home still has a Challenger panel, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have an emergency, but it’s definitely worth having it inspected by a licensed electrician.
Some warning signs to look out for include burning smells, buzzing, hot breakers, discoloration, flickering lights, or frequent tripping. ⚠️
For this homeowner, we removed the damaged equipment and installed a new Square D outdoor panel, getting their electrical system safely back up and running. ✅⚡
Electrical emergencies can happen anytime, including weekends and holidays.
