Jeddah Tower has now reached 113 floors — and it still isn’t even halfway to its planned height.

Construction on the Saudi megatall has climbed to approximately 454 meters (1,490 ft), according to the Council on Vertical Urbanism. At that height, the unfinished tower has already surpassed the 451.9-meter architectural height of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, Jeddah Tower is planned to rise more than 1,000 meters, making it significantly taller than Dubai’s 828-meter Burj Khalifa if completed as designed. Construction resumed in 2025 after a years-long pause.

Echo Park Terrace Apartments

A Study in Modular Hillside Living

Echo Park Terrace Apartments originated as a second-year architectural studio project during my college studies. The project began as an investigation into a familiar Los Angeles condition: how to introduce higher-density housing onto a steep hillside without treating the site simply as an obstacle to be flattened, retained, and built upon. Instead, the slope became the organizing principle of the architecture.

Ivar Markets

I developed this concept in a studio with Norman Millar during my early years in college. Called Ivar Markets, it was envisioned for a site on Ivar Avenue near the Capitol Records Building in Hollywood.

The proposal brings together a flexible event space, hostel-style lodging, and local markets. A loading dock allows shipping containers to deliver changing product lines and supply the vendors. Fountains and flowing water animate the event space, adding movement and energy throughout.
