Another Drainage Problem Solved!

This homeowner was dealing with clogged and ineffective downspout drainage. The existing downspouts were tied into an old catch basin, but the real problem was hidden underground.

Once we excavated the system, we discovered that the existing drainage pipe wasn’t actually discharging where the homeowner thought it was. The pipe was dead-ended into mud, preventing water from properly draining away from the property.

Our solution:
• Removed the old catch basin
• Replaced approximately 100 feet of downspout piping
• Installed a new drainage exit
• Created a proper discharge point to allow water to flow away from the property

A look at just one of the jobs we completed recently:

Drainage & Sump Pump Installation

Customer’s backyard was experiencing significant flooding due to the property being in a low-lying area with higher elevations on all sides and no available county drainage.

Installed an exterior sump pump with a gravel drainage area and leach trench containing drainage pipe and gravel. Approximately 130’ of Schedule 40 PVC was installed through the backyard, under the fence, and routed to the nearest drainage ditch for proper water discharge.

Installed a new 4x4 post and underground electrical conduit from the post, through the foundation, and into the homeowner’s electrical panel. Installed a new breaker to provide power to the sump pump system. An exterior outlet was also installed on the 4x4 post for easy access to disconnect the pump when needed.

Before & After

All this rain we’ve been getting has been rough on driveways. This one was starting to wash out and erode from all the water.

We got in there, cleaned it up, fixed the washout, and got it back in shape.

Another driveway done and another problem taken care of.

Another Problem Solved for a Local Homeowner

We recently completed a project to address water getting into a home’s crawl space.

The solution was a 180-foot perimeter drain installed around the front and inside portion of the home to collect and redirect the water away from the foundation. We then daylighted the drainage system into an existing pond, giving the water a proper path away from the home.

Another project with a simple goal: find the source of the problem, create a solution, and get the water moving where it belongs.

Another job completed, and another homeowner with one less water problem to worry about.
