Great day at the WUST Career Fair!

Project Spotlight: Neuro Biplane Replacement

The Silva team recently completed a Neuro Biplane replacement within a 2,600 SF active clinical environment, delivering a fully rebuilt suite without disrupting surrounding medical operations.

The project included full demolition and installation of new finishes, structural supports, CAC mechanical units, upgraded medical gas, a new scrub sink, sprinkler modifications, lighting, power/data, equipment conduit, and a new electrical panel fed from the 3rd to the 7th floor.

Working beside active MRI and IR procedure rooms, our team coordinated off‑hours work in sterile corridors to ensure uninterrupted patient care. Exterior conduit routing required man lifts over the ambulance access driveway, managed in partnership with Flagger Force to maintain emergency flow.

Despite design changes and inspection delays, the team delivered safely, efficiently, and with zero impact to clinical operations — a testament to disciplined planning and exceptional field coordination.

Jonathan Blackwell, Project Financials Manager
Jonathan leads our accounting efforts with precision and consistency. He strengthens our monthly financial reporting process, improves cost reporting and WIP reviews, and drives a timely month‑end close. He also partners with our corporate accounting firm to finalize year‑end reporting closing 2025 jobs three months earlier than last year. His leadership makes a measurable impact.

Guillermo Castro, Carpenter
Guillermo navigates multiple job sites with reliability and a positive attitude. He maintains excellent attendance, steps in on Saturdays when needed, and takes on tasks like dismantling infection control enclosures saving significant costs and boosting efficiency. His work ethic and dependability make him an invaluable part of our team.

Annual Superintendent Meeting at Laurel Park

On March 20, our superintendents came together at Laurel Park for our annual leadership meeting. It was a chance for our field leaders to connect, share what they’re seeing on jobsites, and talk through the tools and support that help them do their best work.

We covered topics like project startup, safety, quality, scheduling, coordination, equipment, and fleet management — but the real value came from the conversations, collaboration, and experience everyone brought to the table. These moments strengthen our teams and help us stay aligned across every project.
