does time fly by or what?
this week marks 40 years since i started my surveying career!
when i look back, it truly is amazing how the industry has changed. paper, pencil, scales, ink and mylar to a completely digital environment. 3-man crews to a 1-man crew running gps rovers or a robotic total station. even that is going away to make room for 3d scanning and drones with lidar. only time and more likely funding, will tell how long i can keep up.
good, bad or indifferent, i truly appreciate those that i have met along the way and have been a part of this journey.
