Paragon Pools Las Vegas

10/01/2026

Paragon Pools won a 2026 Pool & Hot Tub Alliance Awards of Excellence for a custom pool and spa project in the category of Small Backyard Installations (less than 1500 sq. ft.).

Located in Henderson, NV, the Award-Winning project was intentionally designed as a bold architectural statement piece within a dramatic hillside setting overlooking the city skyline. Rather than simply building a backyard pool, designer Joe Vassallo Jr CBP, 2021 PHTA Builder of the Year created a layered sensory experience that integrates water, fire, texture, sound, and skyline views into one cohesive composition, crafting the ultimate 411 SF small pool and spa.

Images submitted of the project were taken by Paragon Pools’ exclusive photographer Mary Vail, MBA Publicist.

Pool Entry Steps: Where Function Meets Design

Pool entry steps, not just a functional element of a pool. With skill and forethought, entry steps can become a striking architectural component of the pool and spa.

One of the great advantages of a custom in-ground pool is the flexibility of design, and that includes the entry/exit steps. Of course, one needs to stay within the specifications and codes established for construction and safety of pool steps.

Entry steps can be the centerpiece of the pool, a gathering place, a conversation piece, a lounging area, or even a hidden secret exit.

Ultimate Backyard Makeover… before and after! Geometric SPOOL

Watch this central Las Vegas backyard get the ULTIMATE makeover, before and after! 🎥

https://youtu.be/Nvek71-qLJE

This tired, sun-worn deck had potential, and the award-winning team at Paragon Pools saw it. We transformed the space into a relaxing, therapeutic retreat built entirely around the homeowner's lifestyle and their mature Mulberry tree, which we made sure stayed exactly where it belonged, with plenty of room to keep growing.
At the center of it all: a custom inground 12' x 8' geometric SPOOL, 96 square feet of pure functionality. With a 6" raised coping edge and thoughtful engineering, this small-but-mighty aquatic feature works year-round: a cooling summertime plunge pool, and a heated healing spa with 6 therapeutic jets for nights and colder temperatures. And because it’s under 600 SF, it meets Southern Nevada's water conservation guidelines without sacrificing an ounce of style.
