This particular scorpion is in the arachnid family (spiders). There are many different types of scorpions, more than 23 species found here in Nevada. The bark scorpion, like the one we found at our customer's home, is considered to be a big threat to humans as well as pets.

Their tail has a stinger that they use to subdue their prey and for defense.
Scorpions hide during the day under debris and rocks, and come out to feed during the night time. That is why black lights will spot them at night.

There is no guarantee at scorpion elimination, but we can keep the population at a minimum and under control.

The tarantulas are coming out! Just in time for spooky season, males are abandoning their burrows and trekking across the desert in search of one of these beauties pictured here- a female.

How to tell the males and females apart? Look at the color of their legs! Females wear shorts and socks, males wear pants.
