Congrats to our five newest masons who graduated from our Mason Trainee program. 🧱

These guys came in wanting to learn the trade and showed up every single day. Starts on the hod, working right next to our mason crews. On the job training. Under 18 months later, they’re masons.

A lot of our foremen and supers came up the exact same way. So did Chad, learning the trade from his dad.

Like he tells every graduate, that skill is theirs for life. Proud of you guys.

Not every veneer project comes with a water wheel, a bridge, and a little piece of Las Vegas history.

If you’ve been around Vegas long enough, you probably remember Bonnie Springs out at Red Rock. That property is getting a new chapter with The Reserve at Red Rock, and our Hirschi Veneer team has the opportunity to help bring some of its character back to life.

Working alongside Hadfield Building Corporation, we’re taking on approximately 10,000 square feet of natural stone across some pretty unique features: a guard shack, mill house, water wheel, weir wall, and bridge. It’s a combination of full-bed-depth and mechanically fastened thin stone, with plenty of details that make this anything but a typical veneer job.

A big shoutout to Sergio and his veneer crew for the craftsmanship going into this one, along with our Commercial team for the leadership and coordination behind the scenes. Projects like this take everyone working together, from the early conversations to the crews putting stone in place.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with Hadfield on a project with this much character. Looking forward to watching it all come together.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | MERIDEN 1A KB Home 🧱

A wall this size takes more than just block. It takes planning, precision, and a hardworking crew.

At KB Home, Meriden 1A is a community along US-95, our team took on an impressive perimeter wall standing 10’8” tall and requiring more than 32,000 pieces of 8-inch block.

From excavation and footing preparation to rebar installation and compaction, every step played an important role in building a strong foundation.

Projects like Meriden 1A are a reminder of the work that goes into building the communities around us and the crews who make it happen.

Aberdeen with Tri Pointe Homes called for a fencing package with a lot more variety than a standard install.

Across the project, our Iron team and Hirschi Powder Coating installed and powder coated more than 4,000 linear feet of custom fence panels installed on CMU designed specifically to match the Summerlin community standards, along with 10 different gate styles throughout the site.

The scope also included 62 custom pilaster hats, adding another layer of detail to an already highly customized package.

With that many different designs and components involved, consistency from fabrication through installation was key.

Custom fencing, specialty gates, and detailed finish work all handled by one team.

Over the next few days, we’re introducing the people leading Hirschi Masonry Arizona. First up: our Division President, Arturo Sandoval.

Arturo Sandoval grew up around Hirschi. In the 90s, his dad was in the field working alongside Chad Hirschi, and he’s still with us today.

His dad Martin, is a mason, and that’s where Arturo learned the first rule of this trade: start the first course right and everything else lines up.

Arturo started his own Hirschi career as a Field Auditor. In 12 years, he’s been a Residential Superintendent, a Commercial Estimator, a Project Manager, a General Manager and an Operations Manager. When Hirschi Masonry expanded into Arizona, he moved here to help build it.

Today he leads Hirschi Masonry Arizona as Division President.

The stone on Palm Mortuary couldn’t be glued to the wall.

So our crew anchored it. Piece by piece. Up to 35 feet in the air.

Four different natural stones. About 4,000 square feet of full depth veneer. Every piece mechanically tied back to the structure.

And that structure was ours too. Around 9,300 block of CMU, climbing past 20 feet.

Masonry built the bones. Veneer built the face. Same company, same standard.

This is a place families come on their hardest days. It had to be done right.

Proud of the crews who put this one together.

42,732 block. And a roof line full of embeds.

12 inch structural CMU for G.S.S. on the TEI Waste Management facility. 35,580 sq ft of wall.

The embeds are what made this one. A lot of them, all at the roof line, every one landing exactly where the plans called for. The trades coming behind us are working off that layout, so there is no rounding it close enough.

Our AZ crew ran it clean.

The Hirschi Iron & Hirschi Powder Coating crew installed 2,044 linear feet of security picket fencing across an existing CMU wall. That came out to 260 individual panels, all finished through Hirschi Powder Coating.

Here’s what made this one different. Every single picket had to be bent and pinched individually before installation. It took more time than a standard fence package, but that extra work was necessary to get the security, fit, and finish the project required.

Iron fabrication, powder coating, and installation, all handled by teams under the Hirschi Companies.

Appreciate the crews who put in the extra time to get this one done right.
