Yellow patches in a healthy lawn usually aren’t random.⚠️

With real grass there are often grubs underneath
eating the roots, or a fungus getting started, or water
that isn’t draining into soil that’s never been aerated.
Those spots spread if you leave them, and by then the
fix costs a lot more.

Save this and go look at your yard.📌

Two things separate turf that looks real from turf that
looks like a green carpet. 🌱

First is weight. Cheap turf has less grass packed into it,
so it sits thin and shiny. Heavier turf stands up and fills
in. Second is the grain. Turf has a direction to it like
carpet does, and laid inconsistently you’ll see it from the
street.

That’s what a patio actually does. Same square footage, except now there’s somewhere to put a table, somewhere to sit once it cools off at night, somewhere people want to be. Pavers went in clean and those lines will stay sharp for years.

Dog owners, this one’s for you. 🐩

The wrong turf doesn’t drain, and what doesn’t drain starts to smell. No cleaner fixes that permanently. Pick the right turf up front and it’s a non issue.

Doing your Vegas yard in phases? Put the money into hardscape first. 🧱

Retaining walls and pavers. That’s the expensive part to add later, and it sets the shape of everything else. Then before anything gets covered up, run sleeves. Those are just empty pipes under the hardscape so wiring and irrigation can be pulled through later without tearing it back up.

Natural sod or artificial turf in Vegas? 🌱

Real grass looks amazing, but it costs you. Water, time, fertilizer, w**d control. It all adds up in this heat. Turf and pavers cost less to keep up and still look sharp. If you love the work, sod is worth it. If not, there’s a better way. 💚
