We got the call on this Sun City Center home and had the crew out same day. Full coverage — tarp carried up over the ridge and hips and run past the eave line so the wind can't get underneath and peel it. Battens fastened across the field and around the entire perimeter. Cut, fitted and sealed around the rooftop A/C unit so the equipment stays accessible and water gets pushed away from the curb, not into it.

A tarp isn't a roof. It's a tourniquet. It buys you dry floors and a little breathing room while you figure out the permanent fix — and done right, it holds.

Here's what most folks don't realize: a bad tarp job can do more damage than no tarp at all. Loose edges catch wind like a sail. No battens and it's gone by morning. Water funneled into a seam instead of over it and you've just built yourself a nice little channel straight into the living room.

🚒 Another One Buttoned Up for Dunedin Fire Rescue

Rain Right Roofing & Construction just completed a full GAF EverGuard TPO 60-mil cover-over system on the Dunedin firehouse — specifically the section protecting the living quarters where our firefighters eat, sleep, and stand ready between calls.

Scope of work:
• GAF 60-mil TPO membrane installed as a cover-over system directly over the existing roof
• All curbs, vents, exhaust fans, and HVAC penetrations flashed and sealed
• Perimeter and parapet wall flashings terminated with new bar and sealant
• Full system installed to Florida Building Code wind uplift requirements

💧 WE FIXED THE ACTUAL PROBLEM
This building had been fighting a leak for a long time — and the source was the drainage, not the field of the roof. Rather than patch around it one more time, we completely retrofitted the drains and scuppers with modern assemblies and integrated them into the new TPO system from the ground up.

That's the difference between covering a roof and solving a roof. Anybody can roll out membrane. Finding the real failure point and engineering it out is why the leak is gone instead of postponed.
