A floor sink backing up inside the restaurant was only the symptom.
The real issue was a long overhead drain run beneath the building—about 150 feet through the parking deck—with heavy grease buildup restricting the line. We opened the end-of-line cleanout, found grease packed inside and even pulled out a metal sauce cup.
After cabling the line to clear solids, we hydro-jetted the pipe to break up and flush the grease. At the base of the 8-inch stack, more grease had clogged the cleanout opening. Once that was cleared, the system started flowing again—and both floor sinks were draining the way they should.
Restaurant drains need more than a quick “snake it and go” when grease has taken over the line. Find the restriction, get proper access, clear the solids, and jet the buildup out.

Sewer backing up? We’re not playing guessing games.
This line had to be cleared from the septic-tank side—feeding the cable back toward the house to break up the blockage and get the sewer moving again.
Dirty job. Loud machine. Problem handled. 🐍

Tijuana Flats in Clearwater—and the roof was holding ankle-deep water.
Two of the roof drains were packed with broken A/C drain pipe that had fallen into the system. The third was clogged with algae, leaves, and debris. With that much water sitting on a commercial roof, it becomes a serious issue fast.
We cleared all three roof drains and got the roof drained again. To give you an idea how much water, it took 30 minutes of 3- 3” roof drains to clear the roof. And once the roof leaders opened up, a few unexpected residents came out with the water… toads living in the pipes. 🐸

Spent the day off doing something different—took a ride across the new Howard Frankland Bridge and it did not disappoint.
Cruised from 4th Street in St. Pete all the way into Tampa with some seriously awesome views the whole way. They did a great job setting this up too—plenty of spots to stop, benches to kick back on, and even some shaded areas to cool off and just take in the water. Perfect Florida day, sun shining, breeze rolling, and the bay looking as good as it gets.
Threw some fresh stickers on the bike while I was out there too—had to show some love to a couple of local businesses:life & Both right here in Pinellas County—go check them out, grab a shirt, and support local.
Even when we’re off the clock, we’re still repping the community.
