Weeds between your pavers? They’re probably not coming from underneath.

Most of the time, seeds blow in and settle in dirt and organic material that collects in the joints. That’s where the weeds get started.

Keeping the joints clean and properly filled makes a big difference, and polymeric sand can make it harder for seeds to take root.

Is sealing Pavers actually worth it?

A good sealer can help protect color, resist, stains, slow mold, and mildew growth, and make future cleaning easier. Depending on the product, it can also help stabilize the joint sand.

If you want to keep your pavers looking better and make them easier to maintain, sealing can absolutely be worth it.

The prettiest paver in the showroom might not be the best paver for your pool deck.

Around a pool, think beyond color. Heat and traction matter because people will be barefoot and the surface will get wet.

Lighter colors are generally more comfortable in the Florida sun, and textured or tumbled finishes can offer more grip.

Choose for the way the space will actually be used — not just how the sample looks.

Puddles on your pavers after it rains? The pavers may not be the problem.

Standing water usually points to a low spot, incorrect slope, or a drainage path that was never properly planned.

Good drainage starts underneath the finished surface — with the grading and preparation before the pavers go down.

Water always finds the low point. Make sure that low point is planned on purpose.

When we designed ours, we used the project to improve the curb appeal of the house, add some extra driveway width, create a small coffee nook, and build a clean walkway around the side of the home.

That’s one of the things I love about pavers: you can make the space look better and work better at the same time.
