Daily Paint Drip 💧

From workforce development on Saturday to a much-needed reset on Sunday. Saturday morning I had the opportunity to speak alongside Dawn Forestt Callahan with Skywater Restoration, LLC ( Skywater On Call) to incoming students and families at for their Construction Technology program.

Through our work with BOMA Greater Tampa Bay , we’re building partnerships like this to help close the gap between high school graduation and meaningful job placement. Our industry needs the next generation—but before students can choose these careers, they need to know they exist.

That means getting in front of them earlier, showing them the MANY paths available in construction and commercial real estate, connecting education with employers, and continuing to advocate for an industry that has given so many of us incredible opportunities.

Then Sunday looked completely different: faith, family, yard work, books, naps, and final sleepovers before school starts back. ❤️It could all just feel busy if we don't stop long enough to recognize the purpose behind it.

These are blessings and gifts from God—and I want to be intentional about stewarding them well. A full weekend. But more importantly, a purposeful one. 🙏🏼

Friday was fueled by double coffee meetings, surprise run-ins with new and old friends, and conversations about protecting the places we work, live and invest in.

I had the opportunity to speak with commercial property managers with Joann Geltman about the importance of truly understanding your building—because painting is about so much more than changing a color. It’s understanding the different elements of the building envelope, recognizing what your property is telling you, planning maintenance proactively, and ultimately protecting the investment for the long term.

Great conversations, great connections, and apparently…a two-coffee kind of Friday. ☕️☕️

Good morning Mike, Just wanted to touch base with you regarding the completion of our painting project. If I haven’t told you previously, we are extremely pleased with the way our paint project turned out. Your staff was consistently on time, professional and kept us informed of their progress every step of the way. We received the warranty paperwork from Sherwin Williams last week, but I wanted to inquire about the final release of lien from Lowes, as the last payment was made in early April. Can you give me an idea of how long that process may take, as we want to make sure that the paperwork is complete.
