Legend Tree Service is looking for qualified individuals that would be interested in an opportunity to work with one of the top tree services in Lapeer County, MI.
We will be filling these roles for the spring season, around March. 🍀
We have 2 openings that we’re looking to fill.
We are looking to hire two CDL drivers with air brake endorsement for a groundsman position. If you have a minimum of 2 years climbing experience we will review your application.
The right applicant is someone who enjoys working outside in all types of weather, we work when there’s rain, snow or shine. During the event of a lightning or wind storm we will either call off work or wait for storm to pass.
Must be physically fit, able to lift 45-50 pounds occasionally above your head. Must be able to stay busy, with a consistent work flow.
Job duties include:
Job briefing with your colleagues to come up with the best solution to get the job done safely in a timely manner.
Operating Large pieces of equipment, including a Class B chipper truck, a wood chipper, dump trailer, a mini Skidsteer and large Skidsteer. We are constantly updating our equipment list to buy the best equipment we can get to make the job safer, more efficient and more fun!
Showing up to work on time, loading gear into trucks, checking fluid levels, making sure all lights on trucks work, helping your teammates with job tasks, wearing appropriate PPE ( which will be offered at our expense). Tool checks at the end of the day.
Daily work will include, driving, learning to run ropes for climbers, raking, picking up brush and logs occasionally as we have a loader that does most of the work, final cleanup of job site, operating chainsaws, operating equipment, climbing ladders. Etc
We specialize in Tree removal, Tree trimming, stump grinding, lot clearings for new build sites. We have a good mix of residential work and commercial work!
Pay is negotiable but the right applicant we start around $25-$32 per hour. During or busy season we average about an 8-10 hour work days, 5-7 days a week. Some days may be later than others do to breakdown or things out of our control. We offer a lunch break that’s paid, if we schedule a 8 hour work day and we get done in 5-6 hours you will still be paid for 8 hours.
We offer a Christmas bonus of one weeks pay! We also offer a company paid trip to florida, where we will pay for your plane ticket and a house for the crew to stay in for about 10 days.
We buy the best gear we can get our hands on. We dont cut corners on safety or production
Things we don’t tolerate on the job site.
We don’t tolerate laziness, phone use, arguing. This is a dangerous job, where accidents can happen in the blink of an eye. We expect you to keep your head on swivel, stay productive and professional!
