Commission-Based Resale / Marketplace Sales Contractor
We’re looking for a self-motivated contractor to help us sell items we have around our office and shop.
This is a commission-based role for someone who knows how to move stuff fast using platforms like Facebook Marketplace, eBay, OfferUp, Craigslist, or similar.
You’ll be responsible for turning “extra items” into cash, keeping things organized, and creating a smooth process so items don’t sit forever.
What you’ll be selling:
A mix of office, shop and household items (examples: tools, supplies, furniture, equipment, fixtures, misc. surplus). You’ll have access to a steady stream of items to list and sell.
What you’ll do:
-Sort items and identify what’s worth selling vs. donating/trashing
-Research pricing and list items on the right platforms
-Take clean photos and write solid descriptions
Communicate with buyers, answer questions, and schedule pickups
-Coordinate payment and pickups (local meetups or shipping if needed)
-Track what sold, for how much, and commission owed
You’re a fit if you have experience selling on Marketplace/eBay/OfferUp/Craigslist.
Know how to price items realistically (and adjust quickly).
Communicate clearly and reliably (no ghosting buyers).
Are organized and comfortable with tracking sales.
Can work independently and get results without being micromanaged.
Compensation: Independent contractor (1099)
Commission-only pay based on items sold (percentage depends on the item type/value)
Work is primarily local and on-site as needed to photograph and stage items.
Some work can be done remotely (posting, messaging, tracking)
