The GreenStone Farm Credit Services branch in Bay City is taking shape. At 12,000 SF, the new single-story office marks the 12th project WIELAND and GreenStone have built together, a partnership built on years of trust and successful projects.

Since breaking ground in May, the project has reached several major milestones, including the completion of metal stud structural framing and DensGlass installation, protecting the building’s interior from Michigan’s elements. With work now moving inside, WIELAND is proud to continue a partnership that has brought 11 projects to life. We look forward to bringing GreenStone’s new Bay City branch to the finish line to allow them to best serve their members.

WIELAND joined the Associated General Contractors (AGC) to celebrate receiving the National AGC Safety Award (NASA) for its exceptional safety record in 2025. WIELAND qualified for the award in the Building category for 110,000 – 274,999 work hours without incident, recognizing a full year with zero recordable incidents.

This achievement is a reflection of how Safety and Operations teams work together to create safe, compliant jobsites for our employees and trade contractors. We’re proud of what the WIELAND team has accomplished in 2025, but safety is never finished. We’ll continue raising the bar to ensure everyone who steps onto a WIELAND jobsite has the safest possible environment and makes it home safely each day.

WIELAND celebrated its annual Family Day last week, bringing our team and their families together for a day of fun, connection, and community at Hawk Island. From the splash pad and playground to swan-shaped paddle boats and more, the day was all about stepping away from work and spending time together. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with coworkers, meet their families, and see how the WIELAND family continues to grow.

Community is a big part of who we are at WIELAND, and Family Day was a great reminder of the importance of building strong connections both in and outside of the workplace.

The WIELAND team in Iowa is reinforcing WIELAND’s commitment to safety by completing First Aid, CPR, AED, and Stop Bleed training through the American Red Cross.

For many team members, the certification served as a valuable refresher while giving our interns a firsthand look at the importance of continuous learning in the field. The training focused on responding to life-threatening injuries, controlling severe bleeding, and stabilizing injured workers until emergency responders arrive.

At WIELAND, safety is our highest priority. Through training, teamwork, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way, the IAAAP team continues to set the standard for what safety looks like on our job sites.

This summer, WIELAND launched our newly redeveloped internship program, welcoming a talented group of students eager to learn more about construction.

This 12-week experience prepares students for success by providing a deep dive into every part of our work, from Business Development and Preconstruction to Operations and more. The culmination was a real-world proposal response, designed to develop individual and team skills touching all areas of construction.

This year's cohort dove into pricing demands, technical requirements, safety rules, and client communications. They learned how to translate weekly discussions into solutions that resonate with customers. During a capstone project showcase, the group demonstrated that they are ready for what's next in their journey.

We’re excited to announce the showcase's first-ever WIELAND Interns of Excellence: Arjun Heeranna, Chance Comley, and Roger Werth! While Roger and Arjun couldn’t join the announcement in person, we’re incredibly proud of the work they put into this challenge. We salute all of our interns who have inspired us through their hard work and amazing determination. Thank you for spending your summer with WIELAND; your passion gave main character energy all summer long!

The construction world is ever-changing, and technology has become the cornerstone of how successful projects get done. In this changing landscape, WIELAND is looking for an IT Director to drive the firm’s digital transformation and fuel future growth.

This role is comprehensive, spanning every area of WIELAND’s technology ecosystem. The IT Director will:

Build and maintain an integrated technology backbone that serves as a single, reliable, and accessible source of data

Travel to project sites to deploy jobsite connectivity

Manage all company hardware, mobile devices, wireless connectivity, and administer the corporate stack

Own federal security and compliance, including DoD protocols, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and JCP sustaining certification and assessment readiness

If you have experience building an integrated technology backbone, achieving or maintaining CMMC Level 2 certification, or working hands-on with construction and enterprise systems, we’d love to connect.
