WIELAND teammates spent time aiming for something important: making a difference in our communities. Over the past week, WIELAND gathered for Memorial Healthcare’s “Clays to Raise” and ABC Western Michigan’s “Charity Clay Shoot”. Two events, one common goal: raising money for organizations making a difference in our communities.

From advancing medical care to creating opportunities for children in our own backyards, these fundraisers support work that reaches far beyond the clay range. WIELAND is proud to stand alongside the organizations doing the work and help them make a difference where it matters most.

For 50 years, the Red River Revel has brought the Ark-La-Tex (Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas) community together through music, art, and food. This year, the WIELAND team joined in on the celebration, spending the festival’s opening day with the North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) to welcome investors and connect with community partners.

The festival also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl with a special “50-Year Reflection” art piece honoring its impact on the community, followed by a spectacular drone show. From celebrating local traditions to building new connections, WIELAND is proud to support the organizations bringing the Shreveport community together!

The WIELAND team had an eventful day celebrating and supporting the local Shreveport business community. Lukas Riether, Jake Daut, and Nick Noel represented WIELAND at the “Why the Hole Not?” golf tournament at Querbes Golf Course. The tournament supports the Greater Shreveport Chamber as it advocates for local businesses and promotes economic prosperity throughout the Shreveport community.

Perfect weather, connections with organizations both new and old organizations, and some good golf made for a great day supporting the local business community!

The Sofidel Coyote project team got together for team bonding at the FC Tulsa soccer game, watching a 1-0 victory over New Mexico United.

The team is off and running, managing the logistics of a large-scale, 270+ acre Sofidel site and coordinating the trade contractors bringing meaningful work to the project. With WIELAND teammates joining from across the nation, it was a chance to step away from the jobsite, get to know one another, and share the stories that make up the team behind the work.

At WIELAND, our people are the driving force behind everything we build. From our headquarters and regional offices to the national projects we complete every day, culture is what holds us together. Nights like this are a great reminder that while our projects may take us across the country, it’s our people who bring us together.

Big things are taking shape in Hart, MI!

This Friday, WIELAND is joining the Oceana County Economic Alliance and West Shore Community College to celebrate the transformation of a former grocery store into a new community hub built to serve Hart for years to come.

The event will highlight the impact this space will have on the community, from expanded services and workforce resources to new opportunities for economic growth.

As the Title Sponsor for the event, WIELAND is proud to support the vision for Hart and be part of building something that will make a lasting impact on the community.

The first pour of the Grand River Edges Trail happened this week! And it’s more than a pour; it’s a step toward connecting West Michigan in a whole new way.

This project closes a gap in the regional non-motorized trail network, creating a connection from Downtown Grand Rapids to Riverside Park and the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park. The vision extends well beyond this segment. The future Grand River Greenway is planned to stretch 85 miles from Lowell to Lake Michigan, with expansion targeting a 2031 completion.

WIELAND took to the sky with a drone to capture this milestone from above. We’ll keep sharing the progress as this transformational project takes shape.

Helping shape the future quality of life in Grand Rapids and across West Michigan is in WIELAND’s DNA. Congratulations to the entire Grand River Greenway Trail Project team!

Last night, WIELAND was excited to connect with students from Michigan State University and Ferris State University construction management programs. Students from both programs gathered at local restaurants for a low-key introduction to WIELAND, our team, and the projects we build.

The night was filled with conversations about the many pathways available in the construction industry and the opportunities to grow within WIELAND. It was an awesome night celebrating the students in both of these programs and showing them how an internship at WIELAND can help shape their future in construction.

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We remember the first responders and recovery workers who gave everything, as well as the ironworkers, engineers, crane operators, and laborers who answered the call at Ground Zero.

They stepped into the dust, cleared the wreckage, and showed the resilience, strength, and compassion of the construction community. Today, we take our hard hats off to remember those we lost and honor everyone who stepped forward to help.
