Doing it right from the ground up!
We’ve been working on this older structure that had a rotten sill plate—years of water exposure had taken its toll. Rather than patch things up, we went the proper route and laid one course of 8” block around the perimeter of the existing thick slab foundation.
To make it happen, we built two structural temporary walls to carry the roof and wind loads while we got to work below. The new block foundation will raise the wood structure off the ground just enough to keep water at bay and extend the life of the building.
