Progress continues at the new Lansing City Hall!

Centennial Electric is proud to serve as the electrical contractor on this major project, working alongside Clark Construction Company to help create a modern new facility for the City of Lansing.

From electrical infrastructure and lighting to the systems that will support the building’s day-to-day operations, our team is helping bring this important community project to life. We appreciate the hard work of everyone involved and look forward to seeing the finished building.

From purchase to final delivery, Centennial Electric managed every step of three custom trailer projects being deployed across the country to locations in Illinois, Georgia, and California.

Our team handled the purchase and procurement of each trailer, coordinated the installation of four custom cord reels, managed the branding and decals, and oversaw the logistics and delivery to each final destination.

These trailers are designed to support AT&T during temporary outage situations, helping crews restore sites more quickly while providing greater flexibility and reliability when it matters most.

Projects like this demonstrate the value of careful planning, strong coordination, and the ability to manage every detail from start to finish. We’re proud to deliver solutions that help keep critical infrastructure connected and operational.

Project Spotlight: Sycamore Elementary School

Centennial Electric is proud to have completed the electrical work for the new Sycamore Elementary School for Holt Public Schools, in partnership with Granger Construction Company.

This two-story elementary school included a 1,200-amp main electrical service, a 125 kW backup generator to support critical areas of the building, and electrical systems throughout the classrooms, gymnasium, common areas, and learning spaces.

The project also featured an extensive site-lighting package with approximately 90 light poles. By utilizing our in-house operators and Centennial-owned equipment, our team was able to install both the electrical infrastructure and light poles while reducing outside coordination and keeping the work moving efficiently.

Projects like Sycamore Elementary highlight Centennial Electric’s ability to combine skilled field teams and in-house capabilities, to deliver complex electrical work efficiently and effectively.

We’re grateful to have contributed to a facility that will serve students, teachers, staff, and families in the Holt community for generations to come.

It was a great day on the course at the Lansing Open yesterday!

Progress Update: MSU Plant and Environmental Science Building

Work continues to take shape at Michigan State University’s Plant and Environmental Science Building. Centennial Electric is working alongside Clark Construction Company and Building Control Integrators to provide the HVAC and laboratory controls wiring and installation throughout this advanced research facility.

The scope includes controls serving major air-handling equipment, laboratory exhaust and ventilation systems, VAV systems, terminal units, heating and chilled-water systems, and additional equipment monitoring and integration. These systems will work together to provide precise and reliable environmental control throughout the building’s specialized laboratory, research, and greenhouse spaces.

This complex project requires extensive coordination across multiple trades, and we appreciate the continued effort of our electricians and project partners as the building moves closer to completion.

Project Spotlight: University of Michigan Health – Sparrow Clinton Generator Addition

Centennial Electric appreciated the opportunity to partner with Granger Construction Company on this critical infrastructure project.

This project includes the installation of three 500 kW generators, a new 2,000-amp electrical service, and the relocation of the electrical room while maintaining power throughout an occupied and working hospital.

Project Spotlight: MSU Munn Ice Arena Expansion

Centennial Electric was proud to serve as the HVAC controls installing contractor for the Munn Ice Arena expansion at Michigan State University.

Our team completed the control wiring for the facility’s air-handling equipment, VAV boxes, pumps, fans, split systems, water-detection devices, flow meters, and other supporting mechanical systems.

The project presented unique challenges after construction was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic and later restarted. Through careful coordination, flexibility, and dependable ex*****on, our team was able to return to the project and successfully complete our scope.

We appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the improvements at this iconic MSU facility and help support its continued operation for Spartan Hockey and the campus community.

Project Spotlight: MSU Duffy Daugherty Football Expansion

Centennial Electric was proud to complete the HVAC controls installation for the MSU Duffy Daugherty Football Building expansion, including the football practice and weight-room facilities.

Our team installed and coordinated the building automation and temperature controls serving the facility’s HVAC equipment, VAV boxes, heating and chilled-water systems, fans, and other mechanical systems.

We appreciated the opportunity to contribute to another important project on the MSU campus and help create an updated training environment for Spartan Athletics.
