For some projects I am called to help assist with defining the material palette of the design. The owner and I worked with Devon Tile & Design Studio to pick tile and stone for this bathroom expansion project in Ardmore PA. We then tested these materials and others in the design & construction 3d model. Recently, the tile and stone are in the process of being set; We're excited with how it's coming along! Featuring Vanilla Onyx wall tile and Walden Bianco Select Waterjet Mosaic both by ARTISTIC TILE .

In 2020 we were commissioned to design a bedroom and garage addition for this farmhouse retreat in the Pocono Mountains (& we recently uploaded photos of the completed project to a FB gallery). A few years go by and this house and its grounds have increasingly become a gravitational center for the family and thus, the existing kitchen was outgrown by surges in summer and holiday use. We were honored to be called back to design another expansion for this treasured family home; Recently we have wrapped up construction plans for a new voluminous kitchen addition with a breaking of ground to be scheduled soon. The design features a large bay window with sweeping views of the property, large center island (+10'), adjacent breakfast area/casual dining with built-in coffee/beverage center on the east side of the addition (sunrise). A new porch addresses the southern exposure with existing pool area, outdoor dining, and fire pit nearby. Additionally a new mudroom addition that infills an existing porch area adjacent to the front entrance will add capacity for receiving guests and their gear. Lastly, we're also improving the space between the new kitchen and existing dining room with a new second pantry, expanded pantry, powder room expansion, and built-in buffet-bar adjacent to the dining room. We're greatly excited to see this project take shape in the new year.

Ground has been broken on this screened porch, shed dormer, and entrance porch additions project alongside Blue Mountain in the Poconos. The existing house has stunning views and southern exposure facing Blue Mountain, but the existing deck offers limited shade from the summer sun and the view from the living room has a limited aperture. The new voluminous screened porch retains ample mountain views while providing shade and shelter. The new shed dormer + clerestory windows will increase natural light and view corridors toward the mountain. Additionally, the front entrance needed an upgrade from its diminutive aluminum awning to a more fitting contemporary lodge styled entrance porch. We're looking forward to seeing further progress on the construction through to completion.

I recently had the pleasure of assisting R.A. Hoffman Architects Inc. with conceptual design and renderings for a potential condominium development in South Carolina. Imagine a weekend of golf, lake activities, and relaxation by the pool at this woodland lodge in the north west hill & lake territory of South Carolina.... Perhaps savoring a Mint Julep on one of the building's terraces with a view at sunset?? Speaking of such things... time to start the long weekend. Happy 4th of July!

On the drawing board... Plans for expanding a 1960s split-level in Malvern, PA on a lot with acreage and a very deep back yard...adding a master suite + loft and studio, expanded dining room and kitchen, large rear yard facing porch, and garage + family entry. With portions of the low-sloped hipped roofs of the existing house being retained, the massing for the proposed addition pushed a contemporized interpretation of a towered Italianate-Victorian home. I'm looking forward to developing this plan further!

Wrapping up the details on a master suite renovation featuring a new bathroom and dressing room.
The new bathroom will feature a soaking tub niche and an oversize glass shower with stained glass transom window.
The new dressing room will feature a built-in pier mirror, vanities, island dresser, and an array of built-in closets with armoire-like facades.

This Pocono mountain region lakeside cottage's screened porch and deck were expanded to make a lofty and bright entertaining space with a rustic modern design and maximized lake & grounds views.
