Friday Morning Breakfast of Champions: Breakfast Burittos made by our Estimating Team🌯

Each burrito had eggs, turkey sausage, bacon, potatoes, cheese, carmelized onions and plenty of great toppings like homemade pico, guacamole, sour cream, with lots of different hot sauce options

Follow along as each of our departments compete to win the Golden Spatula for the best breakfast and vote on your favorites as we go. The final judgement will happen at the end of September, and we will need YOUR help deciding!🏆

Today’s meeting covered falls from accidental slips that lead to accidents. We watched an educational video on how to avoid slippy situations to help prevent accidents. Falls & slips on a roof are something to take very seriously

We also continued our theme from our last week of Flywheels. Flywheels are all about how it takes a team working in sync to start momentum & keep things going

To demonstrate that, we brought out some extra small hula hoops and had everyone hold onto each other in a line and figure out how to get the hula hoop from one end of the line to the other without breaking the connection.

Team 2 was our winner by 3 seconds! Their method was to bend the line into a circle (supposedly not cheating since they were still holding onto each other🤔), and have the first person in the line hold the hula hoop to have team members jump through

It took a lot of trust to make that plan happen because they only had 30 seconds to figure out what they were doing before they started. Not every problem you get in life comes with a ton of time to solve it, so it’s great to do small challenges like this to literally get you up on your feet and thinking fast.

Welcome back to our On Top Of The World series where we bring our daily views to you! ☀️

While it is easy to get lost in admiring how far out you can see, it is important to make sure to pay attention to smaller details when on a roof

This roof in particular doesn't have much holding those wires down since the brackets came off which is one part of the problem. Another part is that there's now open holes from the screws coming out where water is getting into the building

Problems that seem small or a "simple fix" spiral pretty fast in roofing. The good news is that issues like this can be avoided by having regular roof inspections each year

Luckily, we know a great company that provides you with excellent documentation on your roof during each inspection so that you can catch problems like this before they happen 😉

Golf is a lot like commercial roofing… You have to be patience, precise, and try not to end up in the water⛳️💦

Our crew had a great time yesterday supporting IFMA Central PA Chapter’s golf tournament to raise money for students that are pursuing a career in facility management

Most of the time we are at golf courses, we are on top of their roofs solving problems so it was nice to take a break and be on the green this time!

We appreciate everything facility managers do behind the scenes and are excited to support those entering the profession

Friday Morning Breakfast of Champions: Continuing our departmental Breakfast Throwdown, our Office Staff created a make your own yogurt or breakfast bowl bar with multiple recipe options of...

1. Yogurt- Honey Vanilla Greek Yogurt, Freshly Cut Strawberries & Blueberries, & 2 Different Types of Granola

2. Normal Breakfast- Tater tots, Eggs, Sausage, Bacon Bits (adding ketchup or hot sauce to spice things up)

3. Totchos- Queso cheese on top of Tater Tots, Eggs, Sausage, & Bacon Bits

4. Poutine- Beef Gravy, Cheese Curds, Tater Tots, & Eggs (could also add sausage & bacon)

We had a great time last Friday at the Stoner Grill celebrating the hard work our team has been putting in with the summer storms, intense heat, and smoke from the Canadian wildfires from this month.

Today we were awarded the 2025 Duro-Last Platinum Contractor Award. This award is the highest level that contractors can receive for their quality & quantity of Duro-Last roofs installed in a year.

Our team averages a 98% score on the inspections we get after we replace a roof. That means only 2 points were taken off on the entire roof. In order to receive a Platinum Award, contractors must have an average score of 95% and above as well as install a certain amount of square footage of roof to go with it. For 2025, only 2 contractors total in the MD, DE, & Eastern PA region received this level.

Friday Breakfast of Champions: French toast, chicken sausage, and bacon made by our Leadership Team!🥓

We decided to switch up our morning safety & culture meetings by having each department take charge in planning and cooking our morning meeting breakfasts. Each department gets one day of our biweekly meetings to show off their chef skills until the end of September

Not only is this a delicious form of team bonding, but there's also a bit of a competition as to which crew makes the best breakfast!

This meeting also featured talking about the Grit & Team Before Self core values our team has been going above and beyond showing from tackling emergency blown off roof projects from the storms to dealing with the extreme temperatures to now the air pollution levels. Hydration and knowing your personal limits are the keys to working outside in these elements

Congratulations to Alfonso for winning a Bevanda cooler for your hard work these past couple of weeks! And a big thank you to Carl Edwards, Jr. for donating the cooler as well as bringing in donuts for our crews!
