Construction is much more eco-friendly when using reclaimed materials. Why take more from the earth if used brick and flagstone are readily available? Whenever possible, we give old materials a second life, creating something new with more character and less impact on the earth.

Ready to turn your backyard into a sanctuary? We make the process easy. With expertise in natural stonework, native plantings, and creating landscapes that are both beautiful and functional, we’ll help you bring your vision to life. Send us a message—we’d love to help you get started.

Anybody can do conservation work. It’s as simple as planting native trees and wildflowers.

Native wildlife has evolved alongside these plants for thousands of years, developing intricate relationships that support everything from pollinators to birds. But as pesticides, herbicides, and industrial agriculture have transformed the landscape, many species that were once abundant have become increasingly threatened.

The amount of biodiversity we’ve already lost is difficult to comprehend. But there are countless ways we can each help restore some of what’s been lost—and we can start right in our own backyards.

Planting native wildflowers is one of the simplest places to begin. They provide food and habitat for a remarkable diversity of pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. And as an added bonus, they make your garden more beautiful.

Diversity is what makes this planet so extraordinary. Your garden should be no different.

We specialize in creating beautiful, diverse gardens built around native plant communities, natural stonework, and thoughtful stormwater management. We love encouraging everyone to get their hands in the soil and grow native plants, but we also understand that not everyone has the time, energy, or experience to do it themselves.

If you’d like to transform your backyard into an oasis for butterflies, birds, and other wildlife, we’re here to help. Send us a message, and let’s start planning your backyard sanctuary today.

We’re not trying to make the neighbors jealous. It just sort of happens when all the butterflies are in your yard and not theirs.

I used to think conservation happened in some far away wild land, but the reality is, it can happen right in your own backyard.

Planting milkweed in your garden really can help save the monarch. Milkweed used to be widespread across North America, but it has disappeared from many places due to herbicide use on agricultural lands and expanding urban and suburban development.

Monarch caterpillars feed exclusively on milkweed, so when you plant it in your garden, you’re giving female monarchs a place to lay their eggs and giving the next generation a chance to grow.

One of the greatest benefits of building with stone and brick is that these materials can be used again and again. Almost all of the flagstone and brick we’ve used on this project has been salvaged from somewhere else, giving new life to materials that have probably already been used for decades. By reusing what already exists, we can create something beautiful while taking less from the earth.

The more corporations value automation over artistry, the more regular people value good old human craftsmanship. This stone pathway is just the beginning of an entire backyard makeover we’ve been working on. It’s been a great opportunity to get creative and build something that is truly one of a kind. We’ll be posting more updates as this project takes shape, so follow along to see it come together!

Every backyard should be a sanctuary.

Conservation doesn’t have to happen in some far away land—it can start right outside your back door. By planting native species, anyone can create habitat that supports bees, butterflies, birds, and countless other creatures.

Many of our homes and commercial landscapes are filled with beautiful plants from around the world. While they may look nice, most provide very little food or shelter for the insects and birds that our ecosystems depend on.

If you love nature, one of the most impactful things you can do is add more native plants to your garden. You’ll be amazed at how quickly bees, butterflies, and other wildlife discover them.
