We create beautiful gardens because we love nature. We love native plants, trees and the bees, birds and butterflies that rely on them. We love spending most of our time in the outdoors and we love creating outdoor spaces that encourage others to spend more time in nature. What we love most is diversity, because diversity makes this earth wondrous and magical. I love trees and have a lot of them in my backyard. The problem is that I always have an abundance of sticks and branches to get rid of each year. So, 3yrs ago, I built a dead hedge, and now we have wild turkeys regularly visit to snack on the bugs in the decomposing wood. Songbirds also come and spend time in the dead hedge, and hawks come to hunt the songbirds. They call it a “dead hedge” but it’s attracted so much life and gives me and my family unique glimpses of the wildlife in our area.

We just completed this beautiful springhouse using all natural stone, some of which was directly harvested from the site. The best part about it, is that it mirrors the natural landscape that surrounds it, which is completely forested.
