💡Growth Mindset Monday 💡

Who has had the biggest impact on your life?

Most likely, it wasn’t someone famous.

It was a parent, teacher, coach, mentor, friend, or family member who showed up, cared, and invested in you. ❤️

Last week, Marisa and I attended the Lancaster Chamber’s 154th Annual Dinner, celebrating leaders who embody the theme:

✨ Ordinary People. Extraordinary Impact. ✨

Congratulations to this year’s honorees:

🏆 Marshall Snively – Thomas T. Baldrige Catalyst Award
🏆 Dan Sahd – Small Businessperson of the Year
🏆 Dr. Sharee Livingston – ATHENA Award
🏆 Joanne Ladley – Exemplar Award

Their stories remind us that true leadership is built through years of serving others and making a difference behind the scenes.

Today also holds special meaning for our family.

🎂 June 1 marks our daughter Kali Dariychuk’s 29th birthday.

Twenty-nine years ago, an ordinary day became one of the most extraordinary days of our lives. Watching Kali become an amazing wife, mother, daughter, and friend has taught us that our greatest legacy will always be the lives we influence and the people we love.

💡 Growth Mindset Reminder:

⚡ You don’t need a title to lead.
⚡ You don’t need fame to make a difference.
⚡ Ordinary people can create extraordinary impact.

Happy Birthday, Kali! We love you and are so proud of you. ❤️

Keep on shining. ✨

We’re grateful to the High Center and Dr. Jessica Kriegel for an inspiring Leadership Speaker Series event last week. Dr. Kriegel’s insights on intentionally building workplace culture and aligning shared values were both impactful and thought-provoking. We’re looking forward to reading her #1 USA TODAY National Bestseller, Surrender to Lead, to continue exploring the power of workplace culture and leadership.

💡Growth Mindset Monday💡

Back in 2009, Marisa and I celebrated our 15-year anniversary with our first Viking River Cruise from Normandy to Paris along the Seine River. 🚢🇫🇷

But the moment that changed me most had nothing to do with the cruise itself.

It was standing on Omaha Beach and walking through the Normandy American Cemetery where nearly 9,400 American soldiers are buried. 🇺🇸

Row after row of white crosses and Stars of David stretched farther than the eye could see.

And what hit me deepest was thinking about my good friend Amos Sheaffer while standing there. Amos had stormed Omaha Beach in 1944 at just 19 years old.

As I looked across the same sand where thousands of young Americans courageously ran into unimaginable danger knowing many would never come home.

Young men who never got to experience marriage, raise families, build careers, or grow old.

Yet they willingly sacrificed everything for people they would never meet.

For us. ❤️🤍💙

Memorial Day is more than a holiday.
It is a sacred reminder that freedom is never free.

And perhaps the greatest way we can honor their sacrifice is by living lives filled with gratitude, purpose, faith, kindness, and service to others.

John 15:13 says:
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

May we never forget the cost of freedom…or the heroes who made it possible. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is a time to honor those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Our office will be closed today as we pause in remembrance. From all of us at Lapp Electric, thank you! 🇺🇸

An inspiring afternoon last week at the Next Gen Roundtable hearing from outstanding leaders like Jeffrey Beckford, Joe Ferderbar, Matthew Pinsker, and Kathy Prime. Grateful for the valuable conversations, leadership insight, and encouragement shared throughout the event. Opportunities like these are a great reminder of the importance of learning from those who have paved the way and investing in the next generation of leaders.

❗️QUICK TIP❗️
Don’t overload power strips during graduation parties, cookouts, and spring gatherings. Spread appliances and electronics across different outlets to help avoid tripped breakers, overheating, and potential fire hazards. If you find yourself constantly relying on extension cords or power strips, it may be time to consider adding additional outlets to better support your home’s electrical needs.

💡Growth Mindset Monday💡

🎶 “To everything…turn, turn, turn…there is a season…” 🎶

This weekend while celebrating our daughter Kali’s baby sprinkle and preparing to welcome our first granddaughter ❤️👶… that song kept replaying in my mind.

Because life truly comes in seasons. 🌱☀️🍂❄️

Some seasons bring joy, growth, family, and new beginnings.

Other seasons bring waiting, uncertainty, loss, and challenges.

But no season lasts forever. 🙏

The hard seasons strengthen us.
The waiting seasons prepare us.
And the joyful seasons remind us to appreciate the blessings right in front of us.

And here’s something many people don’t realize…

The song Turn! Turn! Turn! was inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:1:

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.” ✝️

So what season of life are you in right now… and what might it be teaching you?

Keep trusting.
Keep growing.
Keep on shining. ✨
