Hey everyone! Even though CBC has been relatively quiet recently we always enjoys joining forces with great partners. Roboro is a new company that focuses on reducing textile waste while also providing a sustainable fashion resource for all.

We’ve been busy with project work, but partner and co-founder Craig Clark has also been busy over the last 2-1/2 years completing his Master of Architecture degree at while working on multiple projects. It’s been a tough couple years, but congrats to Craig and all the hard work completed!!

The largest concern coming out of this plan is the lack of investment in mass transit. It is known that mass transit is not a money maker, but it is the MOST effective way to affordably move people around regions. Private investment always work toward top of the market ROI, which is why we must have a group willing to incentivize mass transit.

The final version of President Trump's $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan closely resembles the leaked draft, and would lean on states and private money to fund new projects.

Interested in potentially looking at architecture as a career?? The Boston Society of Architects are hosting a college/career fair that is bringing colleges from all over the country for both undergrad and graduate level degrees. CBC partners Craig Clark and Michael Baker have been involved with the graduate level degree program with one of the schools and all three CBC partners are a product of participating Wentworth Institute of Technology's undergrad program! All these schools are great, and this is a great chance to really explore the opportunities that these programs have.

3.8bn to 5.8bn range may seem like a lot of money, but when the state is considering (and favoring) a plan that will cost 2-3bn and will not address, but potentially increase the problems of train congestion at our stub end terminals, this project only makes more and more sense.

A new analysis shows the nearly three-mile tunnel connecting North and South stations could be built for between $3.8 billion and $5.8 billion — significantly smaller than the most recent previous cost estimates.

The IOC has selected the host cities for the next TWO Olympic games. Both Paris and Los Angeles will be host cities! Lack of interest from other cities and the pressure the games put on many aspects of the cities seems to play a role in this decision. Thoughts on a major US city hosting the Games??

A step in the right direction to completing our rail network for a more complete transit system.

The study, due to be completed by spring of 2018, is being commissioned by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s Office of Transportation Planning.
