School buildings experience a level of daily wear most facilities never will.

Material selection impacts maintenance, longevity, replacement cycles, and how a building performs years after opening day.

The goal is to choose materials that hold up over time while still creating welcoming, engaging environments for students and staff.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at the MDASBO Spring Conference, played a round with us, and spent some time with our team over the past few days.

It’s always great to reconnect with people across the industry and hear more about what districts are thinking about as they plan for the future.

Can't wait to see you all again next year!

What if your school project could be built in a controlled environment instead of an active job site?

Join us at MDASBO's 2026 Spring Conference as we discuss the business case for off-site construction in K–12, including schedule predictability, procurement considerations, and reducing disruption on occupied campuses.

Some of the best school design decisions are the ones most people never notice.

Storage that reduces hallway clutter.
Durable materials in high-traffic areas.
Mechanical systems staff can actually access and maintain.
Spaces that can adapt as programs change over time.

In K–12 design, small operational decisions add up quickly.

A building can photograph well on opening day and still create frustration for staff every year after. Good school design has to hold up long after the ribbon cutting.

That’s why we pay close attention to how buildings function day to day, not just how they look on a floor plan.

A group of our team members recently joined an Adopt-a-Block cleanup in Lancaster’s Warehouse District.

It was a great opportunity to spend time together outside the office while helping care for a neighborhood we’re proud to be part of.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make a small difference in the community, and to the City of Lancaster, PA for organizing the program.

The success of a school project isn’t decided when construction starts.

It’s shaped in early conversations, coordination, and decisions most people never see.

That’s where we spend our time.
