Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day, a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical safety.

In construction, the conversation is especially important. According to OSHA, construction workers experience su***de rates approximately four times higher than the general population. The CDC also reports that construction workers are more likely to die by su***de than from a workplace injury.

Behind every hard hat is a person who may be facing challenges that aren't always visible. Checking in, listening, and supporting one another can make a meaningful difference.

Throwback Thursday: Zion Lutheran Church | Leola, PA

Completed in 2001 through our design-build approach, this 22,373-square-foot church was thoughtfully designed to support worship, fellowship, education, and community connection.

The facility features a 360-seat sanctuary, 13 classrooms, a youth activity area, nursery, large multi-purpose fellowship hall, and a centrally located narthex that provides easy access to gathering spaces throughout the building. To honor the congregation's heritage, the design incorporated Christian symbolism found in the original church, including the restoration and placement of stained-glass windows within the new facility.

We were honored to join the students, families, faculty, and supporters of Northern Dauphin Christian School (NDCS)on Sunday as they celebrated the groundbreaking of their future K-12 facility in Elizabethville, PA.

Using our design-build approach, Horst Construction is partnering with the school to bring this long-awaited vision to life. Having outgrown its current facility, Northern Dauphin Christian School is taking an important step forward with a new campus designed to support continued growth and create opportunities for more students for years to come.

We're grateful for the opportunity to be part of this exciting milestone and look forward to helping create a space where future generations can learn, grow, and thrive.
