Huge Trex composite remodel from above. 🪵

This one was a full transformation with multiple deck levels, new composite decking, upgraded railings, rebuilt stairs, and a custom pergola area tying everything together.

Projects like this really show how much a deck can change the entire backyard.

Trex Clam Shell and a double picture frame border around the entire deck. We also widened the staircase and custom cut a new stringer to make the extension work.

The challenge on this one was keeping the existing railing. We carefully removed and replaced the entire floor with the railing still in place, working around it throughout the installation.

Stair restoration in Lancaster, PA 🪵

We replaced one of the railings and carefully matched the existing style and color. The stair treads were replaced and finished with Semi-Transparent Pecan 🌰 oil based stain to bring out the natural wood grain.

We also extended several of the steps to create built in spaces for the homeowner’s plants. It’s always fun adding unique details like this to a project!

Trex Clam Shell + black on black railings. ⬛️

We raised and supported the sinking structure with new concrete footers and supports, removed an unnecessary staircase to create more usable deck space, and finished it off with new lattice and a custom gate for under deck storage.

Palomino Semi-Solid Oil-Based Stain 🪵

A fun porch restoration in downtown Lancaster, PA.

This porch had a peeling water-based coating that needed to come off completely. We stripped the old coating, sanded away what remained, and refinished everything in Palomino semi-solid oil stain.

We also removed the old metal railing and built a new wood railing to match the existing railing on the concrete steps.

Finished it off by cleaning and staining the backyard fence to match.

Another deck transformation complete.

Trex Toasted Sand paired with black railings for a clean, modern finish. The real challenge on this one was the staircase! With such a low slope, we custom built multiple platforms to create a comfortable, functional transition down to the yard.

Cedar transparent oil stain on floor and black oil based on railings. Deck was previously unstained after being installed last year.

On newer wood, we often recommend starting with a lighter, more transparent stain. It protects the wood while keeping your future options open, making it much easier to go darker down the road if you decide you’d like a semi-transparent or richer color later on.

From weathered and worn out → completely revived. 🔥

This restoration got the full treatment, bringing the wood back to life with our most popular oil-based color, Auburn. The rich natural tones, deep pe*******on, and long lasting protection are exactly why Auburn continues to be our go-to recommendation.

One of the biggest advantages of oil-based stain is that it penetrates into the wood instead of sitting on top like paint. That means no harsh peeling or chipping, just a natural fade over time and much easier maintenance down the road.

This one was a fun transformation to watch from the air 🚁
