Fall is a great time to plant peonies. All these beautiful peonies are available plus many more. As we wait for the beautiful fall colors to appear also think about the beautiful colors of spring. Peonies are one of the most beautiful blooms. They are a reminder of how beautiful the changing of the seasons can be.

Fall Maintenance for Peonies. 🍁 Newly planted peonies require a layer of mulch for winter protection. Following the first frost you can cut back peonies for winter, although earlier pruning will not cause harm. To prevent disease, it is recommended to burn all foliage. Itoh peonies can also be cut back at this time; however, it is crucial to REMEMBER DO NOT cut back tree peonies. Spring is the optimal time for fertilization, unless a light application is used. In colder climates, providing additional protection for newer peonies is beneficial, while established peonies can typically withstand winter conditions. Any questions.. please feel free to call or message.
Also now is a good time to transplant any peonies you want to divide or move.
