Giving back to the next generation of construction professionals is one of the best parts of what we do.

Today, Chris Copeland, Vice President at Catamount, joined David Venegas, owner of Venegas Engineering Management & Construction, as guest lecturers for the Advanced Construction Materials & Methods course at Texas A&M University. Together, they shared insights on the logistics behind concrete procurement, casting, and installation, including how emerging technologies are transforming the way projects are planned and executed.

Thank you to the Texas A&M Department of Construction Science for the opportunity to connect with students and contribute to the future of our industry. We always enjoy sharing real-world lessons from the field and helping bridge the gap between the classroom and the jobsite.

From Texas to Georgia, this project is a great example of what makes Catamount unique. By bringing together our Atlanta team and our San Antonio-based Industrial team, we combined local relationships, industrial expertise, and national reach to deliver a best-in-class project for our client!

We recently completed a 282,000+ SF design-build speculative warehouse in Forest Park, GA, for Scannell Properties. Designed by Powers Brown Architecture, the facility was built to accommodate up to four tenants and included extensive site development, utility infrastructure, and a flexible industrial space built for long-term performance.

With teams across the country, we're able to bring together the right people, experience, and resources wherever our clients need us, delivering quality projects and exceptional results through seamless collaboration.

We're honored to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Bexar County Animal Care Facility in San Antonio, Texas.

This 17,000 SF facility will provide a modern, welcoming environment for animal care, veterinary services, adoption activities, and staff operations. Designed to serve both animals and the public, the facility will include 132 kennels, surgery and exam rooms, administrative offices, and an adoption lobby.

We are pleased to welcome Nicholas Womack as Director of Business Development, based in our Atlanta office.

Womack brings more than 15 years of business development, sales, and leadership experience, including a strong background in the construction industry. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Developer Services for The Erosion Company, where he led an emerging division serving clients across the Southeast and beyond. He previously served as Director of Business Development for BERRONG Commercial Services, helping expand the company into the commercial construction market and establish relationships with leading industrial contractors.

“Nick knows how to build relationships by understanding what clients need and where their businesses are headed,” said Andy Brown, Senior Vice President, Atlanta. “He brings strong industry experience, a broad network, and a genuine ability to connect with people. We're excited to showcase the completed MODA Student Housing community, delivered in July 2026 by Catamount | Freese Johnson, LLC.

Spanning two acres, and just steps from Clemson University and downtown Clemson, the development includes 159 student apartments, 1,500 SF of retail space, 214 parking spaces, and premium amenities including a sky lounge, study rooms, fitness center, pool, barbecue area, and putting green.
