UPDATE!
Canadian National (CN) will NOT reopen the Brown Rd/Joslyn Rd intersection on Sunday, Aug. 24, due to a safety concern. We continue to work with CN to get this matter addressed.
The RCOC has also directed CN to NOT close Giddings Road north of Silver Bell Road until the Brown Road/Joslyn Road intersection has reopened.

CN RAILWAY TO CLOSE BROWN RD./JOSLYN RD. INTERSECTION ON AUBURN HILLS/ORION TWP. BORDER FOR RAILROAD CROSSING REPAIRS AUG. 11-24
The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit to Canadian National (CN) Railway to close the Brown Road/Joslyn Road intersection on the Auburn Hills/Orion Township border from Monday, Aug. 11, through Sunday, Aug. 24, for railroad crossing repairs.
During the closure, the detours are as follows:
• Joslyn Road: Waldon Road to Baldwin Road to Walton Boulevard, back to Joslyn Road and vice versa.
• Brown Road: Giddings Road to Waldon Road to Baldwin Road, back to Brown Road and vice versa.
The Brown Road/Joslyn Road intersection carries approximately 40,600 vehicles daily.
