I got started while in college mowing lawns and doing odd landscaping jobs for extra income. Those first few years was where I found a love for working outdoors and helping people improve their landscapes. But cutting grass left something to be desired... While attending classes at NDSU I wound up taking a tree identification course and that was what sparked my interest in trees and taking care o

f them. The next year NDSU offered a tree climbing class, along with several other tree care courses and the following summer I interned at the Davey Tree Expert Company in Eden Prairie, MN. While at Davey, I was exposed to the world of arborists and commercial/residential tree care. It was a wonderful experience but living in the "big city" wasn't something that I really enjoyed. So the next summer I decided to begin working in the Lakes area around Detroit Lakes, MN along with the Fargo-Moorhead area offering tree care services. It has been interesting to say the least but I enjoy the challenges and enjoy helping people with their trees!

Look at those bur oak stump sprouts!! Too bad this stump is in the future road 😅

Even though this example will not produce new trees its a good reminder to not wait till your oaks are dead & dying to start doing management. Once they die they will be replaced by other species. Cut them while they’re alive and you will have the best chance of them regenerating!

Punched in some trails on this property with the mulcher and excavator. We chose to dig out the smaller ironwoods whole and mulch them in place to avoid any stumps being leftover in the trail.

We can do trails, fencelines, food plots, building sites, roads, or any other project that requires removal of brush and trees

Love mulching pine! Only other thing the likes better is boxelder!

This was a job opening up shooting lanes and food plot areas in a failed pine plantation. I was able to do in a single day what would have taken the landowner months with a chainsaw. Plus, no piles to burn!
