Good morning from all of us at RPM Construction. The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for portions of North Texas, including areas around Dallas, Rockwall, Kaufman, Greenville, and surrounding communities.

Please stay weather aware this morning as strong thunderstorms move through the area bringing:
🌩️ Strong wind gusts over 40 mph
🌧️ Heavy rain and possible localized flooding
⚡ Frequent lightning
🧊 Possible small hail

Please use caution if you are traveling early this morning and avoid driving through flooded roadways. Secure outdoor items and seek shelter indoors during severe weather.

Your safety is the priority — continue monitoring local weather updates and warnings from the National Weather Service.

Does your chimney leak? Roofs leak at the chimney all the time. This happens for a few different reasons. It could be a simple flashing issue, or it could need a cricket. This roof did not have a cricket installed behind the chimney which caused water to dam there and leak in. Crickets are required by building code. If you are getting a new roof this year, please make sure you utilitize any code upgrade coverages you have and get a cricket built when your roof is being installed. Drop any questions you may have and we’d be happy to answer them.
