A personal share from Jack's 1st birthday this weekend.

This is a rare moment. Jack is a very busy boy and napping is not a top priority. These cherished family memories are why we created HillCo Farms.

HEATED FLOOR MAP FOR APPROVAL

If you’re planning a bathroom remodel, one upgrade we always recommend is radiant heated floors and for good reason. There’s nothing better than stepping out of the shower onto warm tile. It’s a small luxury that instantly elevates your everyday routine.

From a functionality standpoint, today’s systems are incredibly smart and user-friendly.

✔️ Controlled by a sleek, digital wall thermostat

✔️ Fully programmable to match your daily schedule

✔️ App-enabled, so you can adjust settings right from your phone

Beyond comfort, heated floors also:
• Provide consistent, even warmth throughout the space
• Help reduce moisture (which can be beneficial in bathrooms)
• Eliminate the need for bulky supplemental heaters
• Add long-term value and a high-end feel to your home

And the best part? They’re completely hidden beneath your flooring. No visual clutter, just clean design and cozy comfort.

It’s one of those upgrades clients never regret… and quickly wonder how they lived without.

One of the best compliments we've ever received came recently when a homeowner called us a "white glove builder."

The rain, heat, and humidity have been brutal lately, and it’s not just us feeling it. The bees are, too. 🐝🥵

High humidity doesn’t just make the hive feel hotter, it also makes it harder for bees to control moisture inside. To keep their brood (baby bees) at the right temperature and humidity, the colony has to work overtime.

You may notice bees clustering outside the hive. This is called “bearding.” It helps reduce crowding and heat inside. At the same time, other bees stay inside fanning their wings to circulate air, cool things down, and help remove excess moisture. 🧔🏻‍♂️🐝

It’s all part of their incredible teamwork to protect the next generation. 💛🐝

Clean as a whistle... that’s how we like our job sites.

A clean job site isn’t just about appearances. It’s about safety, respect, and professionalism. When our team shows up each day, they deserve a clear, organized space to start strong and work efficiently.

Most importantly, we never forget that this may be a construction site, but it’s still someone’s home. We take pride in keeping it clean, safe, and respectful for the homeowners, so they feel comfortable stopping in and seeing the progress at any time.

Because how we work matters just as much as what we build.

One of the things I love most about social media is the conversation. We received so many comments on Tracy's last video that I decided to make a follow up.

Sometimes people ask questions. Sometimes they offer suggestions. Sometimes they challenge why we do things a certain way.
That's fair.

But every decision we make on a project comes from experience, planning, and a commitment to protecting our clients' homes. Before the first hammer swings, we're already thinking about what could go wrong and how to prevent it.

The goal isn't just a beautiful finished product. It's getting there with as little disruption and risk as possible. We choose to do it the right way.

This Sea Salt island did not disappoint.

Sometimes it's the statement piece.
Sometimes it's the gathering place.

This one happens to be both.

We are starting a master bathroom in this beautiful home, so we want to make sure that everything is protected while we're doing our demo today. So they have this beautiful pool area, certainly don't want to mess up that. So we have plywood all the way around. They haven't finished putting it down, but this will lead all the way to the dumpster, just making sure that this property is protected as much as possible.

Taking care of a client's home starts long before the first piece of demolition comes out.

We're kicking off a full kitchen and primary bathroom remodel in Eads, and this home is ready for a major transformation. The old cultured marble tub, dated finishes, and closed-off layout have served their purpose, but it's time for something new.

One of the things people don't always see is the preparation that happens before demolition begins. Protecting a client's home is just as important as building it back. Before a single wall comes down, we cover floors, create protected pathways, and seal off work areas to keep dust and debris contained throughout the project.

Every great project starts with a vision, a plan, and a whole lot of preparation.

Stay tuned. This is going to be a fun one to watch unfold.

Today is Demo Day!

Every project starts with a vision, but first comes the part where we strip everything back to the essentials. This bathroom is ready for a new look and a new purpose.

Over the next few weeks, these stone walls, dated finishes, and oversized features will give way to a design that's lighter, more timeless and tailored to the way our clients live today.

The before photos are always fun. The after photos are what make it all worth it.
