Louisiana Bridge Builders was proud to join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana for the 2026 Bowl for Kids’ Sake!

Our LBB Bowl Squads had a great time hitting the lanes, sharing some laughs, and supporting an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children throughout Southwest Louisiana.

Building bridges is what we do — but being part of the community we serve is just as important.

Thank you to BBBS-SWLA for bringing everyone together for such a great cause, and to our LBB team members who came out to bowl and support the mission!

We had the pleasure of hosting a group of interns from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) at our Project.

During their visit, the interns toured the active construction site and learned about the work, coordination, and teamwork it takes to deliver a project of this magnitude.

Investing in the next generation of professionals is an important part of what we do. We appreciate the LADOTD for giving us the opportunity to host this great group of interns and look forward to seeing the impact they’ll have on Louisiana’s future.

... One Hot Day at a Time

With temperatures climbing to 105 degrees, our crews are continuing to making progress under some of the toughest working conditions of the year. From operating heavy equipment to placing materials and performing construction activities, every task requires extra focus when the summer heat is at its peak. “We have mandated extra breaks making sure everyone has access to shade. We hand out electrolyte popsicles and supplements on a regular basis. Today, we served watermelons slices. We want to make sure our workforce is taken care of during these exceptionally hot, summer days,” stated Toni Locock, Safety Director.

Safety is always the top priority. Workers follow strict heat safety protocols, including scheduled water breaks, shaded rest areas, monitoring for signs of heat-related illness, and adjusting work activities when necessary. Their commitment and professionalism ensure the project moves forward while protecting the health and well-being of every team member.

The dedication of these men and women is helping build a safer, stronger bridge that will serve Southwest Louisiana for generations. Their hard work ... even in extreme heat ... is a testament to the resilience and determination behind this transformational project.

Halfway through our first Internship Program, and we couldn’t be more proud of this outstanding group!

Over the past several weeks, our interns have been gaining hands-on experience, learning from industry professionals, and seeing firsthand what it takes to build the infrastructure that will keep Louisiana moving.

We’re excited to watch them continue to grow throughout the remainder of the program and look forward to seeing the impact they’ll make in the future.

Celebrating Safety Week with a Cinco de Mayo Twist: Tacos, Teamwork, a Food Truck and a Culture of Care.

On Tuesday, May 5, Louisiana Bridge Builders promoted “Safety Week” with a festive upgrade as employees came together to celebrate alongside Cinco de Mayo—blending an important message with great food, energy, and co-workers. The result? A reminder that reinforced a core priority: keeping everyone safe, every day.

A big thank you to EquipmentShare for providing today’s meal. Your support and partnership helped bring the team together and made the celebration even more special.
