Petty Ole Plants

🥹🥹 I love updates so much

My husband bought this from you back when you had your store and had 4 different constellation cuttings. Look at her now (name is Gertrude). She is my pride and joy 😍

This is all it was ever about. 🫶🏼 Spreading joy and love. When my grandmother passed away, my great aunt made arrangements with a few different items that belonged to my grandmother and this plant. She grew so large so fast, I had to cut some of it back. I started potting them and when I opened the shop in Sulphur, I offered a few. I have told this story a hundred times I’m sure. I think about these plants more often than you’d think and I wonder if my grandma knows that I feel like she lives on through them. She wasn’t necessarily someone you would describe as a joyful person in a traditional sense but I do hope she would have liked this at least. 😆

I am seeking 4-5 individuals that would be interested in being a part of planning for the SWLA Plant Swap events. Due to my work and constant unknowing of where I will be next, I am looking to form a board to disperse some responsibility of planning the event so that in the future, things can go more smoothly but also continue to grow in a big way.

Responsibilities I am looking for someone to take over currently:
•Creating digital fliers to market the event without the use of AI.
•Sponsorship organizer. As I work to regrow this event to the success of what it was the first few years, I would love to secure some sponsors that see the vision and potential of this event.
•Charity organizer. This part kinda just happened and we love it. Every year we have donated any leftovers from the blessing table after the event. I would like to make this a whole thing and have it planned out in advance.

These are the main points I have for now. It is important to note that this is an unpaid gig. I have a ton of ideas to grow this event but I really need help and would love to have a dedicated and motivated team of people that want to be a part of the event’s growth. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. 🥰

Would any vendors possibly want to set up for the Plant Swap on May 2nd? I know it’s short notice but we’re throwing it together in typical last minute fashion. 😅
