Tuesday Tours: Jason Starkey with Gallery Built Homes

This week, Jason shares more about the vision behind The New Oaks Community as it continues to take shape in the Rio Grande Valley, and who this thoughtfully planned community is being created for.
As we’ve shared in previous videos, this is just the beginning. The Oaks is planned to unfold across seven phases, spanning nearly 200 acres.

The vision behind The Oaks is to create a thoughtfully planned community for the families and individuals drawn to the area. This community is close enough to some of the region's growing industries, while still offering the opportunity to disconnect and enjoy everything the Oaks has to offer.

With South Padre Island just a short drive away, great schools, outdoor recreation, and a growing community, The Oaks was designed with working professionals who may find themselves moving to the Rio Grande Valley, young families, and second-home owners all in mind.

Phase One is already taking shape, with 12 homes underway out of the 40 planned lots. Looking ahead, Phase Two will add another 73 lots, followed by a six-acre lake planned to sit at the heart of the community and an amenity center coming in future phases.

There's a lot to look forward to as The Oaks continues to grow, and we're excited to bring you along for the journey.

On Today’s Tuesday Tour: Jason Starkey, COO of Gallery Built Homes, walks us through some of the thoughtful details being incorporated into this homesite, from the wildlife corridor behind the property to the spacious backyard and the way the landscape will be designed to complement the natural surroundings.

With a minimum backyard depth of 50 feet, homeowners have plenty of room to create an outdoor space that works for their lifestyle, whether that’s a pool, gathering space, or beautifully landscaped retreat. An aluminum fence will allow the wildlife corridor to remain visible, creating a sense of openness while maintaining the backyard as a private space.
