We are a stand apart full-service residential and commercial construction firm with a wide range of products and experience. We can service all your needs for new home construction, full remodel projects, or just a little interior "face-lift." Our excellent reputation amongst local contractors, designers and realtors as well as long list of satisfied clients can attest to our superior craftsmanship, attention to detail, clear communication, honesty and integrity. Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs and exceeding expectations. As a result, a high percentage of our business comes from repeat customers and referrals. The extensive industry experience of the MAC Team has attracted the most talented labor and the best in-house installation crews in Orange County that can deliver consistent and beautiful results. Kristin Giebler, Owner of MAC Flooring & Interiors, has a reputable background in interior design and business operations. As a young woman in the construction industry, Kristin’s priorities have focused on changing consumer perception of her industry by highlighting the benefits offered by a female led construction firm and overcoming dated approaches. “80% of buying decisions in my industry are made by women, and therefore opened the door for me to create a female focused shopping experience,” says Kristin. “Instead of being intimidated by the fact that I was a rare statistic of female ownership in construction, I looked at it through a different lens and just went for it." She decided to make the showroom inspiring, “pretty,” and homelike instead of simply displaying racks and racks of samples for customers to browse aimlessly.” She didn’t want to transact with the next buyer but provide them an experience they had never had before. “I trained my staff on how to provide an exceptional 5-star experience from start to finish with “soft approaches” focusing on education, design and over the top care." We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry. Your free consultation and free in-home estimate is just a phone call away. Servicing all of Orange County, California.

One of the best things you can do for your hardwood floors heading into fall and winter? Control the humidity in your home. 🌡️

Here's why it matters:

🪵 Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with moisture levels. Low winter humidity, especially once the heat kicks on, can cause planks to shrink and gaps to form between them.

💧 The ideal indoor humidity level for hardwood floors is between 35 and 55 percent.

🌬️ Running a humidifier in the colder months can make a real difference in how your floors look and perform over time.

🧹 Avoid wet mopping hardwood in any season. A slightly damp mop or a hardwood-specific cleaner is all you need.

A little seasonal care goes a long way with hardwood. 💡

The fireplace is on. The room is full. And the floors are doing exactly what they were meant to do. 🔥🏡

There's a reason certain rooms feel like the heart of the home in October. High ceilings, warm light, a fire going, and carpet that makes every step feel deliberate and soft. It all adds up to something that's more than just a good-looking space. It's the room people gravitate toward.

Flooring is the foundation of that feeling. It sets the tone, absorbs the sound, and anchors everything above it.

The table is set. The leaves are turning. The season is here. 🍂🏡

There's something about a dining room in September that feels different from any other month. The windows start showing color outside. The light gets warmer. And suddenly this room becomes the center of the home again.

Light floors like these do something important in a space like this. They keep everything feeling fresh and open even as the palette outside gets richer and moodier. 🤎

When you're choosing carpet color and texture for a dining or living area, test it in the actual lighting of the room, not just under the showroom lights. 💡

Natural light, warm lamp light, and overhead lighting can all make the same carpet look completely different. A sample that looks like a warm oat in the store might read as cool gray in your north-facing room.

Bring a sample home before you commit. 🫡

A floor can be the most interesting thing in a room. ✨

If you've been playing it safe with flooring choices, consider this your permission slip to go for it.

Chevron and herringbone patterns are having a serious moment right now, and it's easy to see why. The angular lines add movement and energy to a space in a way that straight planks simply don't. Paired with bold walls and dramatic finishes, the result is a room that feels truly designed.

The best part? The pattern works in virtually any wood tone, from pale blonde to deep walnut, so you're not locked into one look. 😍

Did you know what goes UNDER your floor matters just as much as the floor itself? 🤯

Underlayment is the thin layer installed between your subfloor and your finished flooring, and it does a lot of work you never see.

🔇 It reduces sound transmission between floors, which matters a lot in two-story homes.

🌡️ It adds a layer of thermal insulation, making floors feel warmer underfoot in cooler months.

🦶 It creates a softer, more comfortable feel underfoot, especially with hard surface flooring.

Skipping or cutting corners on underlayment is one of the most common ways a flooring project ends up feeling "off" after installation.

The rug sizing mistake almost everyone makes in the bedroom. 📐

Here's a quick guide:
- Queen bed: aim for a 8x10 rug minimum
- King bed: a 9x12 works best

When in doubt, go bigger. A larger rug always reads more intentional than one that looks like it shrank in the wash.

Your floors and your rug should work together, not compete. 💡

Here's something that trips up a lot of homeowners mid-renovation: matching your floor tone to your cabinet tone. 🪵

A few things to keep in mind when pairing them:
- Warm cabinets + cooler floors = natural, grounded contrast
- Dark cabinets + lighter floors = open, airy feel
- Matching tones work best when there's a clear difference in finish or texture

Bring your cabinet samples with you when you shop for floors. It makes all the difference. 💡
