Finally some decent weather!

We work year around, but normally we use this time of year (with road bans on) to grind all the stumps out from our winter jobs. Today and yesterday we ground out around 50 stumps in the Holcombe area, and somewhere around 100 miles of roots, or so it seemed.

Our grinders are light, maneuverable, great for yards, but still offer plenty of power for larger jobs.

If you have some stumps that youd like taken out, it is about the best time of year to do it. You'll be mowing right over where they used to be, instead of around them as soon as you pull your mower out.

Still plugging away this winter. We're taking advantage of the good days, and bad that this winter is throwing at us.

Today we showed up to the Lutheran Church in Glen Flora a little after the noon hour and made a couple of VERY large Spruce Trees next to the highway disappear in quick time.

I haven't posted in a few months, rest assured all is well on this end, and we're working every day we can to keep up.

Sitting on the porch where the homeowners spend their time together, looking at the trees from their point of view to make sure every detail looks right.

When we got there this morning, you could only see the smallest glimpse of the water. But now, they have a great view, with a little bit of privacy from the water 😀

A very, VERY, big codominant Basswood tree done yesterday in Ladysmith.

It looks huge in the pictures, and it was even bigger in person at well over 100'. The home owner was worried of it coming apart and falling on her house....and if it did come apart it could have hit multiple houses. Lots of hollow spots inside of it, it was time to go. Plenty of obstacles on this one. Powerlines, blacktop, phone boxes, homes, traffic.....all went well. We'll return to grind stumps, just not that huge one 😁.

Sometimes we have to go "A little over the top" if you will. 😁

Yesterday we worked on the east side of Ladysmith, despite having 6 inches of rain in the past 36 hours before this picture. 4 trees were taken out near this cabin with our forestry truck. Theres alot more work to do on this property, whenever mother nature allows us.

I took a break from cutting this morning to run a load of composted organic wood chips to Dirk Meyers at Father's Gift. Dirk raises mushrooms on these wood chips and turns them into tinctures in a liquid drip form. These tinctures help people with a variety of problems, even cancer.

If you've had our chipper on your property, you wouldn't believe the amount of people that you, and Dirk have helped from YOUR trees. Very, very cool.

Busy day in Bruce last week. We started with very large White Oak that was at the end of its life. The canopy was dead, soft, deteriorating, over top of 2 structures, and very heavy. This was a "No clean up" job. The home owners family will tackle that task and use what they can for firewood.

After we completed that we moved down the same street to do a much larger job. This was more of a land clearing project. The home owners here are planning on putting in a large structure for their business and needed to make some room. All brush was removed and all usable logs were cut for a friend of the homeowners who owns a saw mill. He's going to be busy! The stumps were left in for now, but the building crew will remove them with a large excuvator.

About 80 Red pines over 60' were removed, and about 130 trees in total were taken out of the second job.
