If you’ve tried selling an item, posted it for free, or offered it to friends and neighbors, but no one wants it, take a moment to ask yourself if it’s truly worth donating.

Donations should be items that someone else can realistically use, not things that are broken, damaged, heavily worn, or no longer usable.

Here’s why this matters: When thrift stores receive items they can’t sell or give away, they often have to pay out of pocket to have them hauled away and disposed of. That means valuable time, resources, and money that could otherwise go toward helping our community.

Before you donate, please ask yourself:

* Is it clean and in usable condition?
* Would someone realistically want to buy it or take it home?
* Would I feel comfortable giving this item to a friend or family member?

If the answer is no, it may be time to consider responsible disposal instead.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by Bucks Backyard yesterday to support the Buda Jr. Jaguars.

It was an incredible day. Over fourteen hundred plates sold. Hundreds of donated items for our silent auction. And a special thank you to Top Notch Tees and Oh Mother Trucker for bringing out their merchandise.

The Buda Jr. Jaguars is more than football. With 130 players, 50 cheerleaders ranging from five to twelve years old, Coaches and Board members. This organization is teaching our youth the true fundamentals of respect, sportsmanship, and integrity.
On behalf of everyone at Texas Clutter Services, we are beyond grateful to be a proud sponsor of such a great organization.
