🔧 **DIY Mini-Split? Don't Forget the Flare Connections!**

We recently received a call about a customer-installed mini split and found a **loose refrigerant connection at the indoor unit**.

It’s a good reminder that getting a mini split mounted and running is only part of the job.

Proper flare connections, manufacturer-specified torque, nitrogen pressure testing, leak checking, evacuation with a micron gauge, and a proper decay test can make the difference between a successful installation and a refrigerant leak down the road.

And remember: **a mini split blowing cold air doesn't necessarily mean the refrigerant circuit is leak-free.**
