🤔 Is it time to plant the garden? Its probably best to hold off a little bit longer unless you have a greenhouse. Frost and freeze chances are expected multiple nights early next week! Some cool season produce such as Onions and potatoes are ok to plant as their growing points are underneath the soil.

🌱Now accepting new clients for 2026!🌱

Hey, Kokomo! Now that the long (and weird) winter has finally moved along and spring is moving in, it's time to get those lawns taken care of! Covalent Lawn Care services small to medium sized properties and will even take care of some landscaping projects. Services include mowing, trimming, and edging at each visit. Weekly and bi-weekly spots are available.

As we all have spring fever, we want to remind you that we shouldn't plant the garden yet. Some cold weather produce may be ok to start such as potatoes and onions however, frost chances will persist into to April and May across Indiana. Especially central and northern Indiana.

Ice thickness guide! Ice has formed on many area lakes, ponds, and rivers thanks to extremely cold temperatures! We know many get excited and start thinking about Ice related activities but its important not to venture out too early and to ALWAYS check the Ice before going on it! It takes 4" of clear ice to hold an adult and a minimum of 30" to take your pet T-Rex for a walk on the ice.

On average 250 people die each year from falling through thin ice from drowning and hypothermia! Remember that when in doubt, DON'T venture out!Important Note: not all ice is the same!

It is also extremely important to note that this size reference is for new clear ice. Ice which is cloudy, had heavy snow on it, or has been through a thaw/freeze cycle can be weak and unstable! As a reminder, no ice is ever 100% safe!

Seventeen-year-old Hailey Buzbee is missing, and her family is urgently asking for the public’s help.
