We are now accepting applications IN PERSON for an additional part-time/full-time sales associate at our parts counter.

A punctual candidate with experience in customer service, operating a register, and identifying basic plumbing parts is preferred.

We would also prefer someone who is tech savvy with social media experience.

Candidates must be available to work shifts on Monday-Friday from 7:45 am to 5 pm, and must be able to pass background/drug tests.

We offer BCBS medical/dental/vision insurance plans, life insurance, paid holidays/vacations, and other benefits after qualifications are met.

Job duties include locating parts for customers from behind the counter, ringing up sales on an iPad system, assisting with inventory replenishment, answering the phone, updating social media account, and keeping the workspace tidy.

Was your home built before 1970? If so, your water lines may be galvanized.

Not only are galvanized water lines outdated, they are also problematic when they start to rust. Galvanized pipes are notorious for rusting from the inside out, causing multiple issues including reduced water flow and clogged fixtures.

A solution for having a home with galvanized piping is to have the original pipes replaced with PEX. PEX pipe is fully-functioning for at least 50 years, can be maneuvered around corners, and has fewer joints/elbows connecting the pieces together, which reduces the risk of leaks.

PEX piping is more durable than galvanized piping because of its flexibility.

When freezing temperatures arise, your galvanized pipes could potentially freeze and crack, meaning repairs or replacement will be necessary. PEX has a significantly lower chance of freezing and busting during cold weather.

Have a slow-draining sink?

A perfect tool to break up minor clogs in your sink or P-trap would be a handheld sink auger, also known as a drum auger. All you need to do is loosen the retaining screw and then insert the auger into the pop-up drain in the center of the sink.

After you insert the cable, you will need to retighten the thumb screw. Push the auger until you hit the clog and turn the handle clockwise while applying a slight amount of pressure. This should loosen any minor clog in your drain pipe or P-trap.

Once the clog has been cleared, loosen the thumb screw once more and remove the auger from the sink, then you can flush the drain. You are now clog free!
