Mulched beds for fresh coverage, raised and shaped a Honeysuckle, cut up fallen tree trunks, and pulled invasive Grape vine out of a large Juniper.

Today’s project was a full side bed cleanup. Cleared out all the w**ds, removed two dead Azaleas and a dead Rose, thinned back overgrown Irises that were starting to take over, and cleaned up suckers coming off the base of an old stump. Grateful for the work. 🌿

Today was a mix of cleanup and prep work — clearing small w**ds and lots of leaves out of several beds to get them ready for fresh soil soon, then planting and mulching this fall. I also trimmed back some Yews along the sidewalk, raised up the big Burning bush (Euonymus alatus) by the driveway, and leveled out a mulch pile left from stump grinding. Finished up by hauling big fallen branches to the back 40. A little bit of everything today, and I’ll be back for more. Grateful for the work.

Today’s project was all about transplanting, redesigning, and making sure nothing went to waste!

I removed and transplanted tons of Hostas and Liriope while completely redesigning the front bed. The homeowner trusted me with the layout, which made this one especially fun. The challenge was incorporating three little pink Hydrangeas while giving them room to grow and finding a new home for every plant that was already there.

I transplanted Hostas behind some Laurels for the homeowner’s personal enjoyment, moved more Hostas and a dozen Liriope to a larger bed at the bottom of the driveway, filled another front bed with additional transplants, and used the remaining Hostas to surround a painted stump and statue feature. I also planted three pink Zonal Geraniums, three new mystery plants, transplanted two others, and added a Redwood sapling.

To finish the day, I cleared out a backyard w**d bed and mulched it along with another smaller bed. Then raised a Japanese Maple.

Lots of digging, dividing, transplanting, and trusting the process today—but seeing everything come together made it worth it. Grateful for homeowners who trust my vision and let me help bring new life to their landscapes. 🌿😊

At the first property, I planted a beautiful Weeping Willow, a Kousa Dogwood, and a Laceleaf Japanese Maple. At the second property, I raised a Mimosa Tree on the homeowner’s side of the property line, giving it some clearance from the yard and back deck.

Nothing complicated today—just helping trees have a little more room to thrive and making homeowners happy. Simple, sweet jobs like these are the ones I truly enjoy, and there’s always little animals wherever I go. 🌿💚

Day 2 of mulch and this one is officially wrapped up! 🌿

Today I finished mulching the rest of the backyard from yesterday’s job and completed the entire front yard as well. The fresh mulch really tied everything together and gave the landscape a clean, finished look.

As a bonus, I found a little toad hanging out while I worked. 🐸 Always fun to meet a new garden helper on the job!

Today I raised up a beautiful Red Maple all the way around, clearing it away from the neighbor’s playset and the homeowner’s large Holly tree. After that, I got the backyard mulched and looking fresh.

Tomorrow I’ll be back to finish raking up the Magnolia leaves and put down mulch in the front yard to bring everything together.

Small jobs are still wonderful jobs! Did some w**ding and raised this Redbud!

This was a transformation!

This flower bed wrapped around the backyard pool area and was absolutely loaded with nearly four dozen Redbud saplings, Virginia creeper everywhere, and a thick blanket of leaves.

I pushed the bed edge back to reveal the full patio, cleared out the unwanted growth, and pruned everything to the client’s specifications. The difference was incredible, and the space feels open and intentional again.

Days like this are a reminder of how much potential can be hiding beneath the overgrowth. Next will be mulch! This one was a good one!
