We're excited to welcome Stan McCall to The Architecture Collaborative.

Stan brings 20+ years of HUD and affordable housing experience to TAC as our Strategic Development professional, including deep expertise in the Capital Fund Program (CFP), procurement, strategic planning, construction management, and grant writing. This experience will help TAC better serve our affordable housing clients.

His "success for all" approach means every project is built to work for the whole team, from day one through closeout. Welcome to the team, Stan.

In celebration of World Architecture Week, we're proud to mark a major milestone right here in East Tennessee.

The Architecture Collaborative joined the Maryville Housing Development Corporation, Eaton Construction Services, and community partners for the groundbreaking of Hannum Springs: 11 new affordable apartment-style homes near downtown Maryville, TN.

For the Maryville Housing Development Corporation, this is their first new development in over 40 years. Funded through a partnership of THDA, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, and Appalachia Housing Enterprise, Hannum Springs will serve elderly and disabled households who already have a waitlist of neighbors eager to call it home.

Architecture Week is a reminder of why this work matters. Design isn't just about buildings . It's about the people who live in them. We're honored to help make this one a reality.

Michelle brings 18+ years of architecture and design experience to this role, and her commitment to design excellence, mentorship, and community engagement through organizations like AIA and CSI has been invaluable to our team and the clients we serve.

February was a busy month for TAC!

Specification Writer Michael Houle attended this exclusive two-day retreat hosted by the Construction Specifications Institute, engaging directly with building product manufacturers through one-on-one technical consultations. For affordable housing and multifamily projects, precise and informed specifications are critical, ensuring durable, cost-effective materials make it into our documents so that every dollar of a project budget works as hard as possible for the communities we serve.

Michael and Principal Architect Dan Brittain represented TAC at THDA's Tennessee Housing Conference — the state's premier gathering of affordable housing professionals. TAC is honored to have such a close working relationship with the Kingsport Housing and Redevelopment Authority. We have collaborated on redeveloping one of their sites in Kingsport, TN for years now, and are hopeful their grant application is accepted this round. 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕: Institute of Public Service building at UTK! Glass partitions have been installed at the beautiful new renovation at 1610 University Avenue.

Take a look at the beautiful Porcelanosa wall tile in the restrooms, and Corian solid surfaces! TAC is exited to see the final result in the upcoming months.

"Giving someone a house is great but investing in their long-term success, looking at the clients we're serving; it's the single mothers, tapping into daycare services possibly, workforce development,” Casey Begley with KHRA said.
