Wells Tavern is getting close, and the final details are bringing this space to life.

From the rooftop seating area to the custom bar, kitchen equipment, finishes, and inspections, this beautifully remodeled building is moving through the last stages before opening its doors.

It is always exciting to see a project reach this point. The space is not fully finished yet, but you can already see the character, craftsmanship, and energy coming together.

We cannot wait to order some bangers and mash, enjoy a pint, and see Wells Tavern full of people gathering, connecting, and enjoying the finished space.

Once a month, Cara has the opportunity to step into a learning experience through the FBI Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association, and the phones stay behind.

This month, Regal Entertainment Group hosted the group at its headquarters here in Knoxville. It was fascinating to hear the history of a global company that started right down the road in Halls and has grown far beyond East Tennessee.

The presentation, led by one of Regal’s top security executives, focused on safety and security across their theaters, including the work involved in preventing theft and movie piracy.

It is always valuable to step outside the daily routine, learn from leaders in other industries, and bring back new perspective.

Progress is moving along on a tenant remodel in Sevierville, and we are excited to see this space taking shape for MEDIC Regional Blood Center.

MEDIC will soon have a wonderful new space in Sevier County, and we are thankful to have played a part in helping bring it to life.

This project is also connected to a building we previously helped transform with a major facelift for Lily’s As Seen on TV. Horner Construction did an amazing job on that exterior transformation and is now helping carry the work forward inside for MEDIC’s new space.

It is always rewarding to see a building continue to evolve, serve new needs, and become a place that supports important work in the community.

Today was a great day on the course with Associated General Contractors of Tennessee Knoxville.

Events like this are always a good reminder that strong relationships are built in more places than meeting rooms and job sites. We are grateful for opportunities to connect with others across the construction industry, enjoy a little friendly competition, and spend time with people who help make projects happen across East Tennessee.

A special shoutout to Jordan Simmons with First Light Insurance for splitting a team with us, and thank you to Apex Bank for joining as Matt’s guest.

Always good to be in great company.

Pigeon Forge has an amazing community of businesses who truly love where they live and work.

This past week, it was a pleasure to be a guest at the Pigeon Forge Hospitality and Tourism Association lunch gathering. Black Fox Lodge welcomed everyone with a wonderful lunch buffet, and Jim Evans, VP of Marketing for the Metro Knoxville Airport Authority, shared updates on all that is happening at McGhee Tyson Airport.

It was a great lunch hour in Sevier County, full of connection, hospitality, and community pride, just ahead of the 14th Annual Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion coming to Pigeon Forge August 20-22 at the LeConte Center.

We always enjoy opportunities to spend time with the people and businesses helping East Tennessee grow.

Some projects happen in plain sight. Others happen behind the scenes for years.

At Windsor Square Shopping Center, oysk3 has been involved in a lot of work over the last nearly 10 years, much of it quietly supporting the property management team from Houston, Texas.

Now, we can finally share one of the latest transformations publicly.

The former Old Time Pottery space will soon become 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤. Tarantino Properties has retained oysk3 to oversee the tenant remodel work, allowing us to serve as their eyes and ears on the ground here in Knoxville.

These progress photos were taken while verifying work that has been completed and tracking the transformation of this large retail space into something new for the community.

It is always rewarding to support long-term relationships, help out-of-town clients stay connected to local progress, and see familiar spaces begin a new chapter.

Knox County Schools are back today, and we are wishing students, teachers, coaches, staff, and families a great start to the new school year.

We are especially excited for the Karns High School athletes who will be using the new Sports Fieldhouse we designed for them. Projects like this are meaningful because they support more than athletics. They create space for teamwork, discipline, preparation, and school pride.

We are proud to play a part in bringing this facility to life and look forward to seeing how it serves students for years to come.

Welcome back, Knox County Schools!

Sometimes the best lunch and learns happen away from the desk.

Today, our team carpooled to Belltown for lunch at 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫, followed by a walkthrough led by our own 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 through several spaces he has helped bring to life.

We got to see the floors being polished at 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐫, a future indoor golf experience coming to Belltown, and then stepped inside the future home of 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬, a local meat market known for quality cuts and specialty items.

The conduit alone at Simpson’s tells a story about the planning, coordination, and electrical needs required to support a specialized space designed to serve customers well.

We wrapped up with another stop at 𝐊 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 and a look inside the space as it continues to come together.

It was a great reminder that commercial architecture is not just about finished spaces. It is about coordination, problem-solving, relationships, and seeing how each detail helps a community take shape.

Progress is brewing at Belltown.

Cara recently did a walkthrough of the new K Brew location in Powell, and it is exciting to see this space taking shape. Every project has a season where the details begin to come together, and this one is getting closer to becoming a place where people can gather, connect, and enjoy something familiar in a new community.

Set to open this fall, K Brew Belltown will bring the Powell community the familiar coffee, bagels, and thoughtful experience people have come to know and love.

We are glad to be part of helping bring this new space to life and look forward to seeing it open its doors soon.

🌟 Know • Like • Trust Spotlight: Avison Young Knoxville 🌟

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to work alongside great people who genuinely care about helping clients succeed. The team at Avison Young Knoxville is exactly that kind of partner.

Whether it's leasing, buying, selling, property management, or project management, their team brings experience, insight, and a relationship-first approach to every conversation. They understand that commercial real estate is about more than finding a building. It's about helping businesses find the right place to grow.

We've always appreciated how easy they are to work with and their willingness to collaborate for the benefit of the client. Those kinds of relationships make every project stronger.

To our friends at Avison Young Knoxville, thank you for the trust, the teamwork, and the many ways you continue to invest in East Tennessee's business community. We look forward to what we'll build together next.
