Congratulations to Chris Atkins, Merit Construction’s Self-Perform Work Manager, on receiving the ESGR Patriot Award!
Chris and Merit were nominated by Austin Linander, one of our carpenters and a member of the National Guard, in recognition of the support and encouragement shown to employees who serve in the military.
Marcus Whitt presented Chris with the award, honoring Merit’s commitment to supporting our employees both on the job and in service to our country.

Tennessee ESGR

A major milestone for the new Knox County Regional Forensic Center!
Merit Construction is proud to serve as the General Contractor for this 33,000-square-foot facility, which will provide expanded space, advanced technology, and improved resources to support forensic services across the region.
The facility was recently dedicated in honor of longtime Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Darinka Mileusnic and is nearing completion. We’re proud to be part of a project that will serve Knox County and communities across East Tennessee for years to come.

Last week, Merit hosted members of the Knox County Schools School Board and Town of Farragut officials for a tour of the new Farragut Area Elementary School.

It was a great opportunity to showcase the progress being made and give our community partners an inside look at the project taking shape. We’re proud to be part of bringing this new school to Farragut!

Making Progress at Maryville High School!

The Auditorium is taking shape! Our team has wrapped up setting the bar joists and is now preparing for deck installation.

Over at the Classroom Wing, the 3rd-floor walls are going up to roof bearing as we get ready for the hollow core plank roof.

Lots happening on site, and it’s exciting to see the project coming together!

Good food, great people, and plenty of BBQ!
One of our favorite ways to show appreciation for our field teams and trade partners is to bring everyone together for a good meal. These lunches are a small way for us to say thank you for all the hard work that goes into keeping our projects moving forward.
Big shoutout to HardWood BBQ for always bringing the best BBQ and keeping our crews well-fed! We appreciate you!
Most importantly, THANK YOU to our field workers and trade partners. We couldn't do what we do without you!

Last week, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the Connections Building and Destination Park as part of KCDC’s Transforming Western Heights initiative!
Merit Construction is proud to serve as the general contractor for these community-focused spaces and looks forward to helping bring this vision to life for the Western Heights community.
