How to plant tulips in the fall for a beautiful spring showing! We would like to add we typically use a blood or bone meal to help the bulbs root. This particular property is surrounded by forest and has an aggressive animal population, the bone meal attracts them and nothing would stop them from digging up the bulbs. I top the beds off with a granular rodent repellant.
